So penalties and a bad 4th down try had nothing to do with it.

You rush haters are pathetic.
Very little.

Why in the world would you call me a Rush hater? Are you always this far off in your thoughts? I mean, this read of yours was beyond bad. Maybe you have trouble w/ intelligent thought, so you resort to cheap name calling?

The Eagles averaged 3.5 on the ground today and outside of that last td drive didn't do much most of the game. Some challenges with the short QB sneaks, but don't think they were as poor as you may think. Here's my take on why they lost.

1) Rush didn't play well today, but I won't sit here trashing his performance because he won 4 games when the season looked lost.
2) Undiscplined football with untimely penalities
3) That odd sequence on the turnover on downs where we technically had a first down that was botched by the refs, then the coaching staff botched the no challenge, and then the players taking too long to execute. That alone didn't lose the game but take those points off the board and the game may play out very different.

This is why you shouldn't just look at the raw data - situational is better. Key moments in the game we couldn't stop the run. Short yardage was the worst. The final drive was like 45 straight run yards before they began to throw and the defense had no answer.

4 turnovers (counting the 4th down blunder) is what did this team in. And I don’t understand why we’re not getting turnovers. We had like 3-4 every game it seemed last year.

Because of our bad offense. Opposing teams are playing conservatively since they know we can't score. Once we start scoring more and force other teams to take more chance, the TO will come.

Penalties reared their ugly head tonite too

That's on MM.

The challenge flag on the missed 1st down in 1st half was also squarely on MM.

KM going pass crazy when Rush was obviously out of sorts was absolutely on KM.

MM not reigning him in before end of 1st half was a huge HC red flag too.

Philadelphia was simply the better team. Period.

I think we'll get better. We'll be getting our starting quarterback back.
Regardless what fans may feel, Dak has more experience than Cooper Rush.

I remember during our 92-93 Super Bowl run, Philly stomped us in Philly 31-7.
Eagles were riding high. They put us in our place.
But when they came to Dallas, we were a different team.
We grinded out a 20-10 win and spanked them 34-10 in the playoffs.

If this coaching is worth its salt. it will take this loss, regroup, use it for motivation and we'll be ready for Philly down the stretch.
This loss can knock off that "we have arrived" and "We're the new Doomsday" attitude and return us to the realms of humility and hard work.
The NFC is wide open. We can win as well as anyone.

We just have to work hard and want it more.

Except the context of this is, it was one of the most loaded teams in NFL history. You can have as much heart and grit as you want, but at the end of the day, the talent has to be there. It's really missing at DT, MLB, and safety. I also think Brown is a liability as well and Lewis' time here is swiftly coming to an end as well.

10 penalties didn't help. The non-calls on holding by the Eagles was atrocious. In the fourth there was a double team choke hold on a blitzer on the pass breakup by Parsons. Saw the flag... was like finally. Nope... Parsons apparently said something to a player that made a ref mad. Maybe the ref has 10k on the line at some sweatshop gambling house.

1. We still cannot stop the run.
2. Rush has no arm.

Not complicated, but we won't go anywhere until that is fixed.
Rush just doesn't throw the ball hard enough to reach the receiver before the defender does. I don't know if I've ever seen that before.

I can't really fault the defense for giving up only 269 yards.

I was worried about the middle of the Cowboys defense because they do not have a big run stuffer in the middle. But the Cowboys LBs stepped up tonight.

What hurt the Cowboys were the 3 turnovers. You simply cannot give the ball up 3 times in a game like this and expect to win. That's the only way the Eagles could get 26 points on 269 yards.

And, yes, Rush does not have the arm strength to make some throws they needed tonight.

But on the plus side, the Cowboys figured out how to move the football against the Eagles defense in the 2nd half.

I feel very comfortable that when these two teams meet again, with Dak back, the Cowboys will win.

So how do you fix the run D? Is it the DT's fault? LB's too slow? What do you think they should do to fix it?

Offense was unprepared. That goes to coaching. If Chris Collinsworth knows middle is open why didn't the coaches? Moore adjusted in the second half, but why weren't they ready at start of the game? Doesn't matter who the QB is, offense comes out timid most games.

We lost because of stupid penalties, turnovers and our lack of offense finally caught up with us. No way were we going to win with Cooper Rush having a play come back all night. It was bound to lead to turnovers. Once we got down by two scores we were in trouble. As for our defense we have cracks against the run.

The 4th down try failed because Rush made a bad throw.

Rush is not an NFL starting QB. He’s been doing yeoman’s work and we all appreciate his service. I’m damn glad he’s our backup, I think we have one of the better backup situations in the league. If that makes me a “hater,” I guess I’m a hater.

Yeah Rush's weaknesses were all on display tonight, including his inability to run for yardage or throw to the middle when the Iggles were clearly playing the boundary.

And just to remind people, Rush is a backup for a reason. In these moments, you need other aspects of the team to step up. Rush wasn't good tonight, but the defense helped give the Eagles momentum early and then gave it back to them late when the Cowboys offense woke up.

Elite defenses make stops when it matters most. Our defense looked really damn bad on that final Eagles scoring drive. I mean, they had zero answers and got bullied.
