This guy (The Football Scout), Brett Kollman, Akoye and Voch Lombardi are some of my favorites and do really good work with film analysis and breakdowns. I watch all 22 and coaches film on my own also, but I don't have coaching or scout experience like most of the guys I mention do.

Rush throws for 200+ yards and he gets called noodle arm. Dak does the same vs the leagues worst defense and gets compared to Troy Aikman's SB winning performances.

I would suggest you realize your comparison is complete bull nuggets.

Velocity of the pass, and yards completed are both parts of the passing game, but not necessarily akin in this argument.

The clear-cut example of Rush's lack of NFL velocity was exhibited in the Eagles game where he was throwing the 15 yard out. Twice he threw to the right and the defender recovered to knock the pass away. Not to mention the fact that his noodle arm was one of the main reasons he was not drafted.

I have posted this guy's work several times. Twice a poster, the same guy, made a remark the Scout has wrong about his assessments. Not certain I agree with that comment. But like so much of what is posted here, opinions are painted as facts, and seldom have any explanation as to why the critic thinks the Scout was incorrect.

My contention, and this is opinion, the passing game needs to be practiced daily for the components to accomplish their goal. Rusty has a connotation this is the passer out of sync.

I go back to Quincy Carter and his epic failure in the Cardinal game that got him benched and in a clear cut screaming match with Jerry on the sidelines.

Read/react is an aspect of the passing game. I am not clever enough to know when that is taking place or not. But for this to work, both the quarterback and receiver must see the defense the same and conclude equally where the route is to be run.

To me that comes down to practice. Six weeks off, with little to no pre-season in-game conditions, MIGHT throw off the QB. But then there are so many variables, and I am not an expert I could be way off on this.

Continuity with the WR's is definitely something that must be honed. This is the part that needs time. Gallup was out all of TC so Dak hasnt thrown with him for over a year. You can see right now he is clearly more comfortable with Lamb and Shultz.

The first play was actually a broken play. Dak said in his PC the play was supposed to have a TE come across but fell down. He was just going to run it but saw Brown flash, so he passed it. You can see Furguson trying to get pass the LOS and fall down.

he did a lot more. attacked down field a lot more than rush and the balls, are just faster out of his hands....I mean when rush threw and out pattern, I would go to the kitchen, make a sandwich...realize I ran out of mustard, go to store, get two kinds of mustard, make my sandwich, take a bite, be back at my chair and the ball would just barely get there and be knocked down.

So it wasn't just me going to the kitchen for a beer, mowing my lawn and taking a quick nap before Rush's pass got to the sideline. :muttley:

Me as a fan is willing to give Dak a break being out for as long as he was. Then, me as a critic remember me saying this same thing after the shoulder injury, after the ankle blowing up...and now, after the thumb. Then I ask myself at what point is there finality as to whether or not he is good, and should be our QB1? 2 years later there is no answer. What happens if he goes down with another injury?

Rush will go 4-1 again if Dak goes down

comparing Dak to any SB winning QB is about the dumbest thing anyone can do. Especially after looking weak vs the leagues worst defense.

You continue to repeat league's worst defense. So, explain to me how it is the Panthers beat the Buccaneers? Or, the Washington Commodores beat the Packers.

They call it "any given Sunday" for a reason.

Watched the whole video

1. He cherrypicked the plays he studied. Only “bad throw” he included was the one in triple coverage that shouldve been picked and even w that he tried to blame it on Gallup

2. Nothing in this video should wow you. To conclude that Dak did things Cooper Rush couldnt do was nonsense

3. No highlight of Daks poor ball placement and holding the ball too long

I always enjoy this guy's take. I know some think he is full of beans. But he does offer some insight.

Excellent video. I was shocked how seldom our receivers were getting any separation in their routes and how often there was only 1 guy to even throw a pass into a tight window. Either it’s play calling/design, or we should be worried if we see this every week.

Because they are statistically the very worst in the league.

8 minute pass where he said it was because the WR didn’t run deep enough, he fails to take into account one thing…

It’s the QB, which is who the safety is looking at. He’s watching Dak basically winding up his arm to throw, before the WR is apparently supposed to break deeper.. Dak throws it right when the first WR makes his break, meaning the “shallow” break had zero to do with Dak’s throw.

Dak basically threw it into double coverage on his own.

All QBs, even the best ones each year, try to rip a throw in between double or triple coverage. They all do it. You know it, but it doesn't fit your mold of attacking Dak, so you don't mention how they all do it. Typical agenda driven drivel. Then the hating lemmings 'like' as well. What's new?
