Zero sarcasm.
I genuinely asked for more recent video info instead of dudes talking.
That's allowed, right?

I got you,bro.

Here he is, mic'd up. Our kind of player. Has swagger.

There's also one from the football scout, but you have to find that one since it's not able to embed here. He's not a sack guy, but he can get a few here. Mostly a run defender. Good at it too, from what I can tell so far.

He's quick, unlike Ridgeway, who had cinderblocks for feet.

Shoot, this was a steal.

Jerry must have some kind of pull with the Raiders that nobody knows about. If we got a 7th in return for a 6th, we basically just let them give us a player for free. Because you're not missing out on many players in the 6th round that you can't find in the 7th.

This is actually huge.

I haven't joined in on the Jerry hate mantra around here, because I think the Jones' are doing the right things, and truly trying to win.

In general, coaches have high tolerance levels and are pretty patient. For Gallimore to be in the dog house, they apparently have some serious issues with him. Who knows what but a former GM made an interesting point about DT's. As he put it, most player contracts are based on stats (like it or not) but DT's are often asked to do a lot of dirty work that elevates another position's stats and that kinda forces some of them to freelance a bit going for sacks instead playing to run as coaches ask.

Not sure if this is what's going on with Gallimore at all but to go from starting to inactive with a few games is bizarre.

This is the million dollar question.

He was becoming one of my favorite players. I saw a lot of potential in Gallimore. I'm curious about the details here.

Here are the Raiders' fans commenting about his play. They like him.

I've been wishing a long time for a BIG run stopping DT to clog up the middle and we finally got one! Hankins will help make this defense even better!
The Cowboys have finally seen the light and brought in some beef on that DL!
Go Cowboys!

On the good side, Hankins is only costing $722,444 for the remainder of this 2022 season.

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/johnathan-hankins-12330/#:~:text=Current Contract&text=In 2022, Hankins will earn,dead cap value of $325,000.&text=Contract Notes:,$3,800 ($64,600, 14 LTBE)

The bad thing is his age, how he had been relegated to backup duty and only averaging 38% of all defensive snaps, he will be turning 31 in March, plus he becomes an unrestricted free agent after this season.

30 is not old, or a least it didn't used to be. Anthony Batt and DLaw are both 30. My guess is Hankins will play first downs and short yardage situations. Maybe he gets 20 snaps depending on the game situation.

I think a line up of Lawrence, Hankins, Bohanna, Gholston on the front four. Parsons, LVE, and Barr at linebacker. Kearse and Wilson at safety would be our most effective line up against the Bears.

Sure would like to have seen some recent tape on him doing what these vids say he does.
I'm familiar with him and his career, but his recent run is a bit unknown to me.

Just saying: Would like to see some recent game tape.

If it's been posted already, I would love to be directed to it.

Thanks in advance.

Appears to be very recent, as in ‘22?

This guy is not at the level of a Pro Bowler but he is very good. should have several more years of production.

For those asking the usual question of why was he let go, meaning that he of course has no value since GMs and Coaches are always right, it appears that not only did he not fit the new DC's scheme; he was not happy about his lack of playing time. Add to that the Raiders are clearly in rebuilding mode and want to shed cap costs. There was also some rumors on the Raiders board that he and the DC really do not like each other.

I don't see Bohanna as effective at anything. Our worst dlineman. Gallimore ain't much, but I'd rather have him in there.

I was watching the "Hanging with the boys" podcast last night. Big Nate Newton seems to think Hankins will play first and second downs exclusively. Gallimore was getting thrown around way too much and allowing holes for RB's to shoot through the middle. While most times, I think Nate Newton is a clown, I tend to agree with him on this.

Raiders fans seem to like. Not thrilled with him, but positive. Good sign for us.
Rather mediocre at this point, but still a big upgrade over Bohanna.

I think he's closer to mediocre and the end of his career, but he's still a significant upgrade over Bohanna.
Me like.

What did Dallas give up goes a long way to determine what’s the “ deal “ . Is it based on snaps he takes this yr. No higher then a 6th hopefully .

Bohanna is better vs the run then any of the linemen we have except Hankins. With Hankins that is over 700lbs of beef.
