Hmmm .....have we not seen this movie before (lol). So many fans/posters wanted to take MM to the woods.....

1. I think this was a great piece of writing from Tom Silverstein, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s longtime Packers authority, on Sunday night, on the looming conflict between coach Matt LaFleur and quarterback Aaron Rodgers as the Green Bay season goes down the drain:

LaFleur wants more motion, Rodgers wants less. LaFleur likes the quarterback under center, Rodgers likes shotgun. LaFleur needs Rodgers to be patient and supportive of the young receivers and Rodgers suggested after the game they need more hurry-up and believes in tough love.

Does anyone really think LaFleur came up with the tackle-eligible play that called for Rodgers to throw the ball to David Bakhtiari, a guy who can barely practice during the week because of the four surgeries he’s had on his left knee?

GB would have been better off trading Rodgers and going in a full on rebuild mode. Given the deal Denver gave to Seattle for Wilson GB could possibly have received a similar package especially seeing as how the GB OC became the Broncos HC.

True but they apparently misjudged Adam's value to Rodgers........I'm guessing they will get him a top WR during the off-season. They really have no choice coz his contract means he will either be a Packer next season or retire.

For those claiming Rodgers is washed up and is an ego maniac, keep in mind these are his stats from the last 2 seasons (2020 & 2021) with team record:

26 wins 6 losses

738 of 1,057 69.8% Comp % 8,414 yards 11.4 ypc 85 td's 9 int's 116.7 qb rating

Rodgers is forcing things given his below average supporting cast but to say he is washed up given he has put up those kind of stats says differently.

Couldn’t happen to a better guy than Rodgers. One of the more self centered guys to lace em up. Has a ton of talent only eclipsed by an even larger ego.
I thought the same thing about Kobe Bryant for awhile. Only to find out Kobe worked his butt off and treated his teammates like crap because they didn't. Aaron Rodgers knows what's best for Aaron Rodgers. And what's best for Aaron Rodgers is probably best for the team.
.
With that said I still don't like Aaron Rodgers though. lol

I don’t think Rodgers cares too much about winning and I think it’s always been that way. Now he’s washed up and the team is completely devoid of talent. We should be favored by 8-10 points.
Agree. Rodgers is a major OCD/perfectionist. He cannot stand when things are not perfect, and he cannot comprehend why others don't see things the way he does. He would rather things be perfect in his mind that win.

His entire persona reeks of this.

Stats are important, but do not tell the whole story.

Well, he demands 50M a year and then wonders why the Packers can't get him more weapons.

Rodgers salary cap hit by year:

2022 $28.5M ($151M dead money)
2023 $31.6M ($99.7M dead money)
2024 $40.7M ($24.4M dead money)
2025 $59.3M ($16.3M dead money)
2026 $53.5M ($8.1M dead money)

Rodgers is gone after the 2023 season based on salary vs. dead money so do not use his contract as a reason why the team didn't surround him with more talent.....especially seeing as how Green Bay has always been a frugal organization and have $25M in dead cap this season due to bad moves and roughly $7M in available cap space remaining.

Based on that logic then Dak is hamstringing the team to acquire more talent given he counts $49M in 2023 and $52M in 2024.

That ship has most likely sailed. Unless his year turns around, they would be lucky to get a first and a second for him.

Rodgers sees/feels the walls caving in around him for a last shot at a SB and he's in panic mode. I historically hated Rodgers for breaking my heart in the playoffs on several occasions. Lately you see his explosive outbursts and he's not used to losing. I give him points for his competitive spirit and his passion to win. He's not a company guy and I see a little Staubach/Aikman in him late in their careers. We need to make a statement in this game in front of all the NFL and hope MM gets the last laugh.
