I mean he’s entitled to ask for that. The thing is no one is gonna give him that and none of the teams who he’d go to even have that money so this headline is a huge click bait story.

not one team is gonna pay him 20m annually. His agent is doing what most do and asking for the moon as a starting point in negotiations. No reason to freak out over this Imo at all.

“If Beckham were to play the final quarter of the season at similar prorated pay to Godwin or Williams, he could make about $5 million for the remainder of this season.

Teams also believe Beckham is looking for a multiyear deal, which could potentially give them additional flexibility in structuring a deal that would work for both the free agent receiver and his new club.”

Would you sign him to a long term deal
With his injury history?

He has a ring. He has blown out the same knee twice. I guess one last money grab is in order since he is probably feeling his football mortality big time. I'd be surprised if anybody offered close to what he wants. Probably less than half that and a bunch of incentives.

Dude played for peanuts last season and is even more of an injury risk. They’re delusional if they think that’s even remotely realistic

In a perfect world? No. I may sign him to a deal through next season but not beyond that or a deal that we can easily get off of if needed. Maybe a 3 year deal on paper thats really just 1 year commitment.

ideally I’d sign him for the remainder of this season on a prove it deal but to get him imo you’ll need to give him some commitment for next season.

Lol. I kept saying. We weren’t getting him. I’m glad he’s asking for that much.

An agents job description isn’t to be rational. He’s asking for the moon as he should. The end result is likely something much more workable for everyone.
Maybe. Several players have lost money by being too greedy.

Haha, no one is going to give him 20 million a year. Maybe he ends up signing no where, lol
