Would a single NFL team trade for Dak right now?

There is a body here at Cowboys Zone, dedicated to the purpose of discrediting Prescott.
They are divided into two batches:
1) True Cowboys Fans that sincerely feel #4 is not the quarterback that is capable of spearheading this team to notable postseason success
2) Fans of other teams that are just trolling

I think 99% of people here are option 1. The issue with the way you phrased it is it hasn’t happened and the qb is regressing and now blaming his teammates for his lack of brain power and arm strength.

LMAO at these ideas that the team can just trade out of their moves.

Or that this man would admit his mistake and try to fix it.

Management capitulated, including a no trade clause which, in effect, prevents them from undoing the deal. Nothing like a player they've deemed a star and his agent to illustrate just how poor they are at negotiations.

He is definitely an upgrade for quite a few teams but they would have to factor in the contract/cap and ability to build the team around him.

And then there is the polarization factor for the pr of such a move. The fans that pay attention have just seen the owner have his HC and QB sacrifice a WR to protect the QB.

Consider this. How many times have you seen a WR actually cause a pick because he let the ball bounce off his hands or knocked it up for a tip drill? Have you ever seen that WR so discussed by the analysts? I haven't seen anything like this since the "alligator arms" incident with another WR years ago, I forget his name.

This almost looks like "let's get our story straight in case we need it" planning. Not saying Lamb didn't make a mistake but does that have to highlighted so much to cover for the QB? And the QB should never, repeat NEVER, go along with this. Hanna be in a foxhole with him?

The owner got rid of one WR because he openly questioned the QB's ability to identify targets and now has sacrificed his replacement and we think he would trade his QB? He will protect him because he is his QB and follows orders, no other reason.

If you’re referencing Cooper, just curious if you have a quote or link to what you mean?

Nobody but Dallas is paying that for Dak.

You could be right. I really don't know. But around 30M for a starting QB isn't over the top in this league. Unless you think he's backup material. Then yeah, no one is paying him that.

Not only that, but watch the Cowboys extend him after next season. Insane.

“I got to be honest, it actually does [bother me),'' Cooper said this week about the lack of targets going his way. "I feel like I could be a huge part of (fixing the offense), so that’s what frustrates me.''

Dak Prescott Responds to Amari Cooper Dallas Cowboys 'Frustration' - FanNation Dallas Cowboys News, Analysis and More

Cooper was done the minute he said these words. You don't criticize Jerry's Kid. He should have learned from Beasley. Same thing happened to him when he said receivers were getting open and just not getting the ball thrown their way.

And did you see Daks response basically agreeing with him?

This is purely speculation. There are WRs in almost every locker room that have publicly said they want / need more targets. This got blown up bc it’s the Cowboys.

Cooper defending himself that he was getting open, just as Beasley had done before they traded for Cooper, and there was a noticeable move from Prescott to Lamb and Schultz over Cooper.

And that's not really the root of the problem. The root is these players feel comfortable doing this in the media, see this with any other team? Even teams struggling aren't calling each other out in the media.

Carr is catching heat for even suggesting there are players not giving their all and he didn't even name anyone.

Goes to the root of the problem for this team for far too long. There are discussions that should never reach the media and be kept in the confines, and supposedly sanctuary, of the locker room among the coaches and players.

I am not sure some player wouldn't think it be OK to share what went on in a players' only meeting on this team because they are so promotionally focused by the owner and "look at me" that this is not like any other football team in the NFL. Too many players arrive just by arriving.

Commanders would take him in a heartbeat. Texans, Colts, Falcons, Panthers and Saints.

Yep. I think a team he would thrive at and probably win a SB rather quickly would be Tennessee.

Believe what you will as I will but a lot of space here is devoted the symptoms of the disease and not the cause because there is no cure at this time.

Yea, I mean this has been going on for years around the league with WR1s talking about being open and wanting the ball more.

Not saying I agree that they should be buts it’s been happening for years.

You: "Do you have a link of this alleged complaining by Amari Cooper about Dak not getting him the ball?"

Me: "here's your link and your quote"

You: "This happens in every locker room. Nothing to see here."

Yet, other receivers in all these other locker rooms saying the same things, generally don't get jettisoned right after saying these types of things. Cooper did.

Other receivers also didn’t refuse to get vaccinated and miss games and make 20+ million a year.

I wanted us to keep Cooper, so this isn’t a knock on him at all, I just don’t believe he was kicked off the team for saying he wanted the ball more.

If players were kicked off their teams for saying / doing dumb things in the media most teams wouldn’t have half a locker room.

IF Dak is a reason for a deep playoff run...I’ll tip my cap to him
If he’s an issue and doesn’t help this team get it done......
I take the hit and trade him for an RC Cola, a moonpie and a fifth if I can get it.

Didn't Jerry Clower once joke that you could create world peace with a shipment of RC Cola's and Moonpies to the middle east?

Do you think it’s a little different for an MVP QB that is the face of the franchise or no?

Sure, I'll concede that.
But Cooper wasn't exactly a no name.

just making that point that it had nothing to do with the vaccine. If Cooper was an isolated example then maybe.
he made the mistake of publicly calling out Jerry's Kid.

he was done the minute he said it. He became persona non grata at that point.

But he didn’t…he called out a lack of targets and wanted the ball more. When did he says Daks name and put him specifically at blame?

That would have been different but it didn’t happen.
