Dan Quinn needs to be fired if this keeps happening. He's our D-Coordinator and the one who signed off on cutting John Ridgeway. John Ridgeway was Jerry's pick, but it's becoming very obvious why John Ridgeway was cut. Probably because John Ridgeway either refused to run such crazy stunts that expose our Defense or because he was a gap-plugging type of DT who didn't fit into the mold of being able to execute such crazy called stunts of Dan Quinn's.

Ridgeway is gone because he sucked here.

Yet, Ridgeway is excelling in Washington DC. The Washington coaches are getting out of him what Dan Quinn couldn't. Says a lot about who sucks.

Is he really? Is he starting? Thats a great Dline over there. Let me guess...........he made a nice play at some point and so now your jumping to he is doing excellent?

Just a little over a week ago many here were saying that cowboys' defense was a championship caliber unit.
I'm no football guru, much less a defensive guru, but this is funny.
.
I was right. Football is like a box of chocolate.

He's a backup who is substituting and making plays when on the field. Something we could have used here with this bunch of underachieving DTs against the run. You're also one of the biggest critics the last several years to get rid of Connor Williams (whom I said since 2019 should have been moved to Center), and look at him now playing as the #1 Center in the whole NFL. Meanwhile, you always barked your support for Tyler Biadasz, whom even though he has improved gradually as the season has moved along and now been rated as the 11th best Center in the NFL, he's not as good as Connor Williams. So, yeah, you're the last person who should be barking and trying to lift your collar when time keeps proving you don't make the best decisions for our Cowboys.

I just think dann Quinn is stubborn. I get his thought process, its a passing league and have as many pass rushers rotating in and out is a good thing. Problem is its also a copycat league, every single team is gonna run it against us until we prove otherwise.

Have to be willing to stop some of it, sacrifice some pass rush if need be. We can do that without being risky, then attack on 2nd and 3rd downs.

It's only a few plays, but when you see them it's not hard to grasp why what Dallas did wasn't working.

The low IQ ones blame Dak for this though. I'm not make it up, they actually admitted in the most recent GameDay thread. He plays quarterback on offense, but get blamed for defensive lapses.

First quarterback in history this has happened to..... apparently.....

Don't look now, but here comes Dalvin Cook, with his 5.0 ypc average.
He's likely to nickel and dime the cowboys' defense to death.

Making plays? You mean you heard he made a nice play? Are you watching every game? If he is..........good for him. I doubt he would be making a difference here.

As far as Connor Williams, I dont recall you saying he would be a good center somewhere else. IF you did, congrats. The guy was the weak link over here. As far as him being the best center, I still find that very very hard to believe.

Our arguments were over what would happen here with Biadasz. You lost EVERY single one for multiple years. And Biadasz is now a good center in the NFL having a great year. He has taken the next step.

Im the BEST person for barking as my personnel calls are second to none on here. Your on the other hand are dismal. And since you claim to have been a center you lost all center arguments to me we ever had.

Proves I was correct all along about how Connor Williams was being played at the wrong position and should have been turned into a Center which he's now tops in the league while with the Dolphins. The Dolphins coaches clearly are smarter than the Cowboys coaches. Sucks. But, I told you so years in advance what needed to happen. I gave kudos to Biadasz and hope he keeps it up, but I would have preferred the better Center between the two, and clearly this season is proving to be Connor Williams. Oh well, this is what happens when we happened coaches who have no visions and lack in coaching up players, especially costly ones like Connor Williams whom we used a 2nd round draft pick on only to cut him and now see him flourish for another team. Real good job these Cowboys coaches have done, huh???

LVE is terrible. Gets washed out all the time. His inability to play with any toughness and anticipation is the biggest culprit.

maybe…….he couldn’t snap the ball here. If the coaches missed it that’s on them.

He should get credit for utilizing Parsons. A lot of teams waste defensive talent. The Browns are a perfect example. Would the 49ers’ D be great without Bosa?

No the 49ers D would not. Just like Pitt. When Watt plays the D is good, when he doesn't, it isn't. Football is pretty simple sometimes.

No, it's his role in the scheme that is different.

Quinn has him play as the last line of defense vs the run. Ok to move backwards and give up yards but don't let the ball carrier get past. Quinn wants to free up the Safeties and Parsons to make plays without having rigid gap responsibilities.

Quinn gave a brief explanation in an interview.

Quinn says LVE has textbook modern era tackling technique.

Quinn wants him to stay on his feet unless he is certain that he'll make the tackle.

There was a play in the Packers game where LVE stopped power back AJ Dillon in his tracks. Dillon is one of the most powerful RBs in the league. He is a near guarantee to get at least 3 yards on any carry.

The Cowboys need a RB exactly like Dillon to pair with Pollard.

Oddly, they played some 3-4 looks vs the Packers with LVE at OLB up on the line.
- Kearse at ILB in 3 Safety sets.
- 3-4 in that there were 3 DL between the outside shoulders of the RT and LT
- Odighi at DE on most of those snaps.
- The "OLB" on the opposite side was a DE standing up and split wide.
- Parsons off-ball directly aligned behind the NT.
- They wanted Parsons speed to get to the sideline which is why they used LVE up on the line instead of Parsons in that alignment.

Lol. Sure. Watch the guy play. Always pushed around. Rarely squares runners up. Takes terrible paths to the play which in my opinion he learned from 54. Does not have the toughness to work through blockers. The guy sucks. Wake up please.
