Dr. Chao on Hurts injury… Relatively minor low grade ac sprain. if the playoffs were this weekend he would be playing, perhaps with an injection. Risk of making it worse is relatively low. Given that the game doesn’t mean a whole lot, he doubts that Hurts will play on Saturday.

Expect him back for the Saints game.

Yeah I’m sure he would. He played a while with it yesterday and was fine. The reality is the game on xmas eve no longer matters

This is why I hate fans. (This isn’t an attack on your dad and brothers)

But it’s always, Philly beats Cooper Rush. Rah rah, we are great! Next man up!

Philly loses with Minshew.. but but it was our backup

Lol. When we stomped them 42-10 the excuse was we were playing the backups. When I asked what happened in the first game of the season by dad said the eagles hadn't found themselves yet lol. It's always something.

I hope not . We need to face the Eagles at their best

Don't have a problem with it. We had to play a backup QB against them the first time and lost. If they play a backup QB against us and lose, then fair's fair. If they play a backup QB against us and win, though, any remaining hope should be abandoned.

If they lose to us, he'll probably be back the following game because they won't want to risk homefield advantage. Plus, strategically this actually benefits them since they might have to face us again in the playoffs. If we beat them, then we did it when they were playing differently because Hurts was out.

Frankly, I thought it might not be a bad idea for the Eagles to not run their regular game against us anyway because they really don't have much to gain. A loss against us does little to deter their goal.

um, all I have heard for the last month or so is that they barely beat us because our starting QB was injured. Excuses are a two way street my friend.

Just a reminder Gardner Minshew and the rest of Philly’s backups put up 26 points on our starting defense last season. That was probably a better defense than he’ll be facing on Christmas Eve.

I'm calling it now. Minshew will beat the cowboys. Dak throws 3 interceptions and 1 fumble. Merry Christmas.

This is a fake injury... once we lost they now can just rest after long road trip and beat Saints or Giants for #1 seed. Sad thing here is once we are done winning Saturday, this board will be like "Dak owns Eagles". Like when he beat up on their practice squad last year.

I will take the win and be happy but not be blind to Dak slobbers thinking he owns anyone.

You literally hate Dak more than you root for the Cowboys. Pathetic. Go become a Giant's fan.

This isn’t actually true based on some analysis people have done. The first found a few things including:

Observation No. 1: QBs that ran most were not injured most.

Observation No. 2: QBs that ran most were injured less than the NFL QB average (red line).

Observation No. 3: QBs that ran least were injured least.

Observation No. 4: There wasn’t a direct correlation between running and injuries.

https://www.filmstudybaltimore.com/new-study-quarterbacks-that-run-most-are-not-injured-most/

QBs get injured at the highest rate while in the pocket taking sacks.

designed runs 0.64%, scrambles 0.87%, sacks 1.4%, and knockdowns are 1.56%

Those are from this:

https://www.fantasypoints.com/nfl/articles/season/2021/mobile-quarterbacks-and-injury-rates#/

It makes sense when you consider most of the time while running QBs will see the hit coming.
I was thinking this. I could name a ton of qbs that couldn’t stay healthy and often got injured in the pocket. I could also name a ton of qbs that never ran and blew out their knees in the pocket.
