Hate to say it but this almost has to be another defense-heavy draft

Rinse and repeat.
The only spots on offense I could see needing draft love is LG depending on what they do with McGovern/Tyron Smith and wide receiver.
Running back too if Pollard leaves.

Outside of that the DT's currently haven't done much, LB needs improvement and we need another boundary corner.

Defensive line, corner back, linebacker yeah I’d say you’re right. But it’s already said we need a left Guard just in case

Agreed. Stopping the run is going to be the reason for our early exit once again. We need LB and DT (CB too), and for God's sake USE FREE AGENCY, and not JAG's.

There are only two players on the roster I wouldnt move on from if the right opportunity came along.

We have a lot of needs, I wouldn’t just limit it to defense.

DT
LBr
CB
DE (please move Parsons to LBr and let him rush as needed)
WR
OL
RB ( cut Zeke)

Will be hard to go wrong just taking BPA.

And yet I saw a thread yesterday proclaiming we should take a WR in the 1st!!!! Are people insane, or just brainwashed by Jerry?
You can't read. The thread was asking if we should

Maybe I should have added an obscene amount of exclamation points for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's OK, you can't think. It might help to make you more lucid, who knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one just takes BPA willy nilly. That would be insanely bad drafting.

There is a ton that goes into drafting, BPA is merely one facet. And very very seldom is there a clear BPA anyway. That's just fan stuff.

We should within reason. Plug holes in FA and draft the best players.

If not you end up with players like Kelvin Joseph, Trysten Hill and Nashon Wright.

C'mon ksk and darth, you're better than this. Plus it's Christmas and we're all Cowboys fans. Shake and say "Sorry" and talk about football. :star:

There were better D players availble when both Joseph and Trystena were picked. Nashon was a good 4th round gamble IIRC.

Boundary CB and DT are looking like code-red zones. DT in particular could use two new starters.

Safety is fine, we have depth there, and LB's a position you don't want to sink lots of money into. It's kind of the RB of defense... low impact, high injury. I am feeling fine at DE and am hugely confident in Sam Williams.

I wouldn't say that LB isn't a position where we shouldn't invest. Our run D is bad due to poor LB play. Our run D problems could've been eased by picking up a guy like Roquan when the Bears dumped him. We should be drafting LB high every other draft so we don't get caught with our underwear down around our ankles.
