I will not be buying "fool's gold" or hope this post-season. This year's team resembles a lot of the other post-season Cowboys teams the past quarter of a century and I know the signposts that indicate the probabilities that we will finally make a deep playoff run.

Therefore, this post season I will guarantee three things.
  1. We will beat a near 500 team in the wild card round.
  2. We will lose to a quality team the next week.
  3. No NFC Championship game appearance again and certainly no Super Bowl.
If I am wrong, then I will be happy to make a public apology on this forum. But I've seen this movie before and it has a very predictable ending.

After 26 seasons of Super Bowl talk and watching us choke in the post-season, I don't care about the regular season or the wild card round. I only care about getting the 26 seasons and counting monkey off our back by appearing in the NFC Championship game. We don't even have to win it, but is it too much to ask to occasionally mk an NFC championship appearance?

I knew having George Strait play ATT&T Stajum was gonna bring us bad luck but not 26 years of post-season bad luck!

Yeah we’re getting lucky with our first round game but the Bucs/Panthers are perfectly capable of beating us. I see a close win for us in that game but think we’ll lose a close one against Philly the following week.

We'd beat the Panthers but not the Bucs. They are probably stoked that if they can get in they'll be playing the Cowboys.

No poster needs to apologize for a prediction.

Hopefully there's an upset and we get a home game in the division around. If that happens then yes, we will be going to the NFC championship game.

Brady has never lost to Dallas. If They meet in the WC game I don't see that changing. Brady has a curse on this team.

Its not a curse. It's circumstances. Ask yourself this. How many times in his career has Brady stepped on the field vs. Dallas where HE was an underdog. Where his TEAM wasn't as good as the opposing Cowboys team. He's always been on a better team. No voodoo dolls. No magic. No curse. This year we have to hope that as the better team (first time ever) Dallas can beat the team Brady is on.

No Cowboys fan could be blamed for feeling this way. It’s certainly a logical conclusion after the last 27 years. I do have some hope but it’s based on how crazy the NFL is.

Logically the Cowboys don’t appear to be poised to do anything. But neither were the bengals last year or the ravens in 2012. Point is it’s possible. Not likely. But the blind squirrel theory in this parity driven NFL still applies. One of these days the Cowboys will break this curse.
