Its not a curse. It's circumstances. Ask yourself this. How many times in his career has Brady stepped on the field vs. Dallas where HE was an underdog. Where his TEAM wasn't as good as the opposing Cowboys team. He's always been on a better team. No voodoo dolls. No magic. No curse. This year we have to hope that as the better team (first time ever) Dallas can beat the team Brady is on.
Well said. Too many fans make it singularly about the QB, but it’s about the team. A team without a QB is going nowhere; neither is a team with only a QB.

Obviously, Tampa has more than just Tommy Boy, but Dallas is a better team overall than Tampa (assuming some of the wounded defensive players get back).

Tommy Boy is looking similar to Payton in 2015. He’s not that bad, yet. But no amount of vitametavegamin defeats Father Time. May slow him down, but he’ll eventually win.

No Cowboys fan could be blamed for feeling this way. It’s certainly a logical conclusion after the last 27 years. I do have some hope but it’s based on how crazy the NFL is.

Logically the Cowboys don’t appear to be poised to do anything. But neither were the bengals last year or the ravens in 2012. Point is it’s possible. Not likely. But the blind squirrel theory in this parity driven NFL still applies. One of these days the Cowboys will break this curse.
Agreed. Longtime fans were so used to being an elite franchise (performance on the field not at the cash register) and making frequent deep playoff runs that we would have never anticipated an owner who would fire our back to back SB Champion hc and then watch our idiot owner become our phantom hc, etc.

I totally understand why us Cowboys fans don't want to play Brady in the post season. I get it. I'm gonna tell you all this, Brady is going down in the wild card round this year to the Cowboys.
The Bucs aren't nearly as good as the team that beat us the previous 2 games.
We need to see the Cowboys beat Brady, it'll good for this team.

The only team that scares me in the post season is the Dallas Cowboys. I have no doubt that they will self-destruct, as usual. They just can't get past themselves...
And…and…

It’s a road playoff game.

I was 32 years old when they won their last one.

Simple math will tell you how old I am now.

I will not be buying "fool's gold" or hope this post-season. This year's team resembles a lot of the other post-season Cowboys teams the past quarter of a century and I know the signposts that indicate the probabilities that we will finally make a deep playoff run.

Therefore, this post season I will guarantee three things.
  1. We will beat a near 500 team in the wild card round.
  2. We will lose to a quality team the next week.
  3. No NFC Championship game appearance again and certainly no Super Bowl.
If I am wrong, then I will be happy to make a public apology on this forum. But I've seen this movie before and it has a very predictable ending.

After 26 seasons of Super Bowl talk and watching us choke in the post-season, I don't care about the regular season or the wild card round. I only care about getting the 26 seasons and counting monkey off our back by appearing in the NFC Championship game. We don't even have to win it, but is it too much to ask to occasionally mk an NFC championship appearance?

I knew having George Strait play ATT&T Stajum was gonna bring us bad luck but not 26 years of post-season bad luck!
See you next year.

Yeah we’re getting lucky with our first round game but the Bucs/Panthers are perfectly capable of beating us. I see a close win for us in that game but think we’ll lose a close one against Philly the following week.
It’s not guaranteed they will play Philly second round especially if Green Bay gets in everyone keeps saying we are playing Philly second round

Look at the bright side.

If the Cowboys get bounced in the WC or DR they'll have the opportunity to learn from it, and do better next time.

In my opinion, I think you are really setting yourself up for failure. It's a defense mechanism designed by you, for inevitable failure....in your mind of course. It's a losing mentality and I highly recommend a change of course.

Luckily, the team does not have your train of thought.

The same old losing formula will pop its head come playoff time as our offense will disappear for the first 3 Quarters of the game and we fall a day and a dollar short.
Don't wanna ruin this Homer party you guys got going on but we are no Superbowl team by a long shot.:(

The vibe of this team is very similar to previous years. No matter how superior this team looks on paper, they find ways to underachieve.

We have seen it against the Packers and Jags this year. No reason why it won't happen again.

For whatever reason when they get to the playoffs, they are unable to raise their game. While their opponents continue to do so

No poster needs to apologize for a prediction.
Are you speaking as a Mod? Is that the official CZ stance? Can I unapologetically predict the Cowboys slice through the NFC in the playoffs like a hot knife through butter? It will be a Bills vs Cowboys Super Bowl!
