San Francisco is a paper tiger

Going as a hungry dog on the road with a team that can create QB pressure against a rookie QB?

I think we have a shot.

They look good, even dominant, but they haven't played any of the top teams except Kansas City.
Kansas City wiped the floor with them, 44-23.
While Brock Purdy's success makes for a feel good story- and it should- the 49'ers will miss Garappolo Sunday night. Purdy and the Niners have feasted on sub par opponents, but now Purdy has to face the Dallas Cowboys- and all that a complete team has to offer.
The Cowboys won't fold in the third quarter. When the second half starts, Dan Quinn's adjustments will crunch the dreams of a rookie quarterback who has become accustomed to sub .500 teams who run out of gas after they play a close first half. Purdy will find that the Cowboys secondary doesn't lay down. I predict that it will be the 49'ers offense that runs out of gas this time.
So the only question is how the Cowboys offense will fare against the Niner defense. And that will break the hearts of Niner fans. Not only will Pollard and Elliot have great games, but the defense of the Cowboys will add to that with turnovers that assist the offense. With all of that, Dak will play loose, and will have some big plays.
Cowboys 34, 49'ers 14.
And I believe that the Giants WILL beat the Eagles.
I have been saying thus exact thing. While the 49ers are absolutely a very good team and represent a huge challenge for us....they are not unbeatable.

I want every media outlet and talking head to keep saying they are though....please keep that up!

I like our chances this week.

Yes, I like when a team gets a big head, that much easier to knock down

It will be tough sledding in this game. SF is no paper tiger. They are a smash mouth team who will run the ball all day. McCaffery has been a big help for SF who will use him in the pass game as well. Defense they come in as the #1 defense in the league. Can Dallas win you bet but it will not be an easy game and I suspect there will not be a lot of points in this game.

They went 13-4, have won 10 games in a row, and in the last 10 games have only given up more than 20 points just once while their offense has averaged 31 points/game during that time.....a paper tiger you say?????? LOL okay

They control the clock as what they do. I think it’s going to be a very good matchup. I like arr running game just as much. I think the quarterback gets exposed. We should win this in the fourth quarter.

Their D is good. But how good? They have not exactly been beating a bunch of elite teams.

The last elite team they faced (KC) beat them pretty bad.

They are obviously better than the Bucs. This won't be easy. But I would say we have a very good chance at winning this game.

Minimize turnovers. Preferably none. Get to Purdy. Make him try and play from behind. Avoid 3rd and long situations on offense. Run the ball if we have the lead. Points will be critical. Maher needs an improved game.

God, I love this forum. It never stops providing outrageous, troll threads.

Pretty is going to get exposed. I have no doubt about that.

It wouldn't be that way with Garappolo, but the rookie will feel the heat.
Quinn should be able to rattle him. I think the game will come down to how Purdy handles the Cowboys defense, and I give Quinn the advantage.
It’s a completely different game against SF. They have so many quick options you are not going to be able to pin your ears back and go after him. Misdirection is tough for us-we don’t handle it well.

I have a hard time seeing a team that took the road route all the way to the NFCCG just last season as a paper tiger
They are not the same team as last year. It won't be easy, but the OP is correct. I even posted this a few weeks ago.
SF defense has only faced 3 or 4 good offenses all season, and 2 of those teams were not playing well and missed starters. One missing their starting QB.

Honestly I think this is the game Dallas players wanted. They ended our season last year and any man who is a competitor wants his chance to redeem himself. Yesterday they exercised the 2nd demon is taking down Brady and the Bucs and now they have a shot at ending the 49ers season just as they ended ours last season

No, they are not unbeatable. But yes, they are very good. It will be a tough game for us to win as the 49ers just match up well against us.

SF is looking like the most complete and best team in the NFL right now. That is not to say the Cowboys can't beat them. The 49ers are so dang good, they can run shade for a rookie QB and make him look like Steve Young. I think Quinn will come up with a pressure scheme to try an expose what is really behind that QB curtain.

If the Cowboys play like they did last night, they have a really good shot at beating the 49ers. If they play like last night and lose, there is no shame in that. That will just prove the 49ers are just the better team.

No rookie QB has ever won a SB, so let’s hope his luck runs out on Sunday

That paper tiger "out-physicalled" us last year and pushed us all over the field and dominated us in the trenches and sent us home.
They did and we had 14 penalties. Can't beat anyone doing that.

We have been low penalties for a while now...this will be a great match up.

I feel like we can definitely win it.
