Ain't going to lie, this makes me sick to the stomach. But at some point, he's going to have all that talent. I'm guessing he's looking at a 2-3 year window.

How Eagles GM Howie Roseman built the best roster in the NFL

WHILE CHATTING WITH players and coaches before a November matchup against the Texans, Howie Roseman, Philadelphia Eagles GM and executive vice president, spotted a group of Eagles fans in the first row of Houston's NRG Stadium.

The fans began chanting his name. Roseman, with noticeable swagger, walked slowly toward them, making a beeline for one fan in particular, a man wearing a Phillies jersey who was holding up a hand-drawn, poster board sign.

"Howie You Are Forgiven!" the top half of the sign read. On the bottom half, the name of Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, acquired in a trade by Roseman during the offseason, loomed large over the deleted names of previous Eagles wide receivers: Nelson Agholor, J.J.-Arcega Whiteside and Jalen Reagor. All Roseman draft acquisitions; all no longer with the team; and all universally regarded as bust

The dude has it going on. He is backed by Lurie so he comes up with awesome ideas to get rid of bad deals and trade bad players. What I like about them is they don’t sit on mistakes. They fix them. We got a 5th for a good player with a hefty contract. He would have gotten a 2nd IMO….even with the contract. Because he wouldn’t announce it to the world a head of time……

Just funny how things happen in the NFL sometimes. For example, Hurts was not drafted to replace Wentz. Hell, in fact as of just 2020, there were rumblings that they were going after Watson.

One I give credit for, he's NOT afraid of mistakes.

Credit where credit is due.

They won the Super Bowl just a few years ago and reloaded to be right back in the hunt this year.

They admit their mistakes, and don’t give out huge signing bonuses and rework contracts to get locked into bad deals.

He is excellent is fa and the trade market, but doesn't have the great success via the draft. We are the complete opposite.

The Eagles roster building strategy reminds me of a "rob peter to pay paul" strategy, but somehow they're always making it work.

The Cowboys strategy reminds me of someone who budgets well, pays bills on time, but ultimately is still always broke.

Agreed.

Philadelphia doesn’t draft nearly as well as we do. They have a lot more notable misses. But they definitely rebound from those misses via an outstanding pro personnel department. And they’re successfully aggressive in trades and free agency.

He's extremely hard to root for, even for Philly fans half time time. Unfortunately I'm becoming used to having the unlikable people in the NFL (I lump Brady into that category) succeed. Having Philly turn back on Howie would be wonderful, but probably not happening for at least a few years. Gross.

It's called our front office having no talent. It is the biggest and most public display of corporate nepotism on the planet.

Philly's done a great job with Howie and managed to build two contenders in the last 4 years with what looked like a completely depleted roster and busted cap.

They have a lot of 1 yesr deals that expire this season. They won't have the talent they had this yesr unless all those guys take considerable pay cut. They also have yet to sign Hurts.

I wish Dallas was better in free agency, but Philly will stink again in a year or two in favor of winning now. Thats fine, I guess, if you actually win it all now. But, Dallas needs to get better in FA no doubt and Junior seems to be really cheap so when Jerry conks its going to be even worse.
