The tackle on Pollard was 100% dirty

That technique of swinging your body to hip drop on the runner’s legs is 100% a dirty play and intentionally trying to injure an opposing player. I get sick to my stomach every time I see a defender do it. These guys are all professional athletes and know exactly what they’re doing, this is not taught at any level of football. In fact, if you pulled this in practice you’d get immediately removed from the field because everyone knows this is a sure fire way to break someone’s leg.

It’s bush league and the NFL needs to start issuing heavy fines for these plays. They outlawed horse collars for the same reason and this technique in my opinion is even more ill intentioned.

And if we had a team with any kind of pride or backbone, they would have repaid the favor.

Yeah, the more I see it the more it looks dirty. I'll just grab from behind and drop my weight on the back of your legs and I'll take out the best offensive player of the other team.

Exactly. Players on our team know what happens and they did nothing about it. When kittle is playing around like a schoolgirl or when purdy is running around. You alligator roll their leg or blow their knee out to prove a point. Doing nothing is soft and pathetic b

Sounds like a bunch of guys that never played football. Its a violent sport, **** happens, which is why these guys are paid millions. Military personnel risk there lives for far less money, like them the players know what ups.

Keep that same energy when it happens to a Niners player. When it happens, I'm sure you'll be on here telling us this. Furthermore why are you here in the first place? Did Niner forums throw you out or something?

100% agreed!!! Definitely was dirty and intentional to cause as much problems for the Cowboys.

Reminds me of the Legion of Boom, they are the ones that started this style of tackling. You grab a guy by the shoulder pads and drop your weight on the back of their legs and ankles.

Its not a horse collar so there is no flags, but it pretty much has the same result injury wise.

Not "dirty" offiicially, but it should get addressed by the competition committee......because the same type of tackle injured Mahomes......a QB. It is certainly unsafe and a new version of a watered down horse collar. It is a bad way to tackle. Will be interesting to see what the league thinks because it was similar type tackle that injured Dak (body weight landing on legs). It is also a message of why players should get their money when opportunity presents itself. For all the Salary Capologists on the board......think about that.

Same type of play to bring down Romo.

Already made a thread about this but I guess it got buried too quick

With Mahomes getting hurt by a similar tackle the NFL might address this type of play. Otherwise, a Cowboy getting hurt will be mostly ignored.

In one angle of the video the defender has a knee down but then launches himself onto the back of Pollard's legs. If that isn't clear intent to injure I don't know what else to call it. It isn't a clean play at all. But it happened to a Cowboy, so 'nothing to see here, move on'.

100 percent! That should have been motivation for the Cowboys.
