Two players probably considered a reach, how would you feel if we drafted either with our first pick ?

Neither player are a big reach at 26.
Since both will probably still be on the board just take a small trade down.
Hopefully better talent falls to 26.

Sanders *somewhat* reminds me of Micah Parsons in that he moves like a smaller player than the big guy that he is. That’s one of the things that I like to see when looking at LB prospects. As we know, it is Micah’s insane movement skills and speed that makes him so dangerous and special.

Does Sanders move as well as Micah? No. However, he does move much better than a guy his size should, which is still a pretty rare thing.

Something else that I like about Sanders is that he has edge rusher experience and skills to go along with that size… meaning that Dan Quinn could use him as a chess piece like he does Parsons, creating another problem in the offensive protection meetings on Saturday nights.

Finally, what Sanders has that I feel like is imperative for a defender, is instincts and a good grasp of leverage and angles. Even with his limited play experience, he seems to have a good understanding of what the offense is trying to do and just has a very nice football IQ. At his height, understanding leverage is a must and from what I’ve seen of Sanders, he keeps pretty good leverage throughout his play.

So, I guess I’m saying that if the Cowboys and Quinn think that Sanders is the way to go at pick 26, then I am all for it because he really could be a weapon. Quinn could create all kinds of issues for the offense with Sanders on one side and Parsons on the other.

both good players wouldn't hate either at 26, Sanders is way more likely to be the pick though.

Sanders has been our pick in a ton of mocks. It’s picking up steam

Sanders would be ok because DQ can rush him from different positions. The appeal of Sanders is he's a 2 for 1 player LB/Edge. I'm ready to see his 40. A 4.4 would get him into the 1st.

I like Ika, but I think it would be hard to justify him as a top 30 prospect in this draft. More of a dream scenario in the 2nd.

Sanders is definitely intriguing. My only question is his fit as an every down LB in our scheme. With Quinn already using Parsons and to some extent Kearse in hybrid roles we rely on 2 true LB’s that are either going to drop back in coverage or step up in run lanes. Is that the best use of his skill set is my question? Obviously Quinn would be able to use him differently at times, but Sanders would likely be playing the Barr role most of the time.

How often do you see a player have 9 1/2 sacks and 104 tackles,,,he just has a nose for the ball. At Alabama Sanders played on the ball as a back up, but he transferred to Arkansas so he can play more. Razorback coaches moved him to Mike, but they also moved him around to where his versatility would be a benefit. At 6' 5" 232 lbs he has the frame to add a little more mass. He' not a liability in coverage and he runs a 4.5. Yeah, Quinn will be salivating if he was to have both Sanders and Parsons to move around.
If LVE isn't resigned you can expect Sanders to be one the top targets at 26.

This is true, too… which is why I’d rely on Quinn and the Cowboys to know if Sanders would be used enough in what he wants to do. I’m not sure that he’d be used on a down-in-and-down-out basis to cost a first round pick.

With corner being a need and this being such a great year for CB’s, they could determine using a first on one of them would be more useful to the team.

Quinn will know the answer to that question. But I do really like Sanders as a prospect.

Sanders intrigued me. He moves really well for a dude that big and brings you some pass rush juice.

He reminds me of a poor man’s Micah. If he can come in and get Barr off the field and be another weapon I’m down.

I like Ika, it not sure he’s a 1st rounder.

IMO, Ika is a lesser Jordan Davis. Limited snaps, gets exhausted and pushed around. Never quite dominant but damn good.

If you draft him you get 25-30 snaps a game

Ika plays best in big games. From what I have seen at least.

Actually, I think he’s somewhat similar to what Barr was when he came out of UCLA.

I really like Sanders upside. I would hope he'd be one of our top considerations at #26.

That’d be fine. That’s the role he should play.
