Hate of Dak on this board is very ESPN like!

Cowboys fans would have said "Alex Smith got us to the playoffs! The QB isn't the problem! Why would we trade up and waste a 1st round pick on a QB?!? STUPID!"

This is how Cowboys fans think. This is how they operate. This is why this fanbase is a laughing stock.

They not only accept mediocrity with open arms, but they arrogantly wallow in it.
They would have been outraged by the Deion Sanders signing back in the day. We don't need him!! Too expensive!! We have our own cheaper and younger talent!! We have to worry about paying our own!! We already have potential!!

Dak Prescott has more talent in his little finger than anyone on this board.

That said, he is paid and billed as elite. He is not.

He is not capable of slowing the game down where he can make good decisions. It’s just a fact. I couldn’t do it. You couldn’t do it. He can’t do it.

So where do you go from here. Settle. Or find someone who can. But let’s not pretend anymore.
WRONG no one ever has Billed dak as elite and 8th in qb money also not elite. Sorry man maybe that fans lie you problem is expectations is elite where most of us have him around 6-10

ELITE is top 3-5 players at all positions., first team all-pros etc and even they have bad games in big moments,

daks fell to 1th but still top 10 that not elite, thats a franchise qb ie long term starter who has won games.

4 out of his 6 healthy season ended in payoffs with double digit wins. that top 10 his numbers, stats and most everything is top 10 for career not just this year,

elite payers do not grow on trees and hardly ever available , so teams need payers like Dak and that the going rate.

whos you other elite qbs other than Mahomes. show me your list and we can break down all their big games.. point out mistakes and flaws.

Nope, always win and lose as team qbs should not be attached by themselves to either...
But when that QB is paid such a high percentage of the CAP, to the detriment of the team, the expectation is that he's the one that elevates the team. Sadly when issues appear he's got a tendency to hide rather than rise.

You can't erase history as much as you want to. When the contract was signed he was paid like an elite player. Three years later it may be average, sure, but don't act like at one point it wasn't. I am all fine for bickering and debating on here for fun, but when people want to make backward insults then I can play nasty too.
He was paid how most new contracts are paid for higher end players. They either get what last guy got or more. As many of you were told within a year or two daks contract would right in line, which it is. Again, not our problem you don’t understand how new contracts are typically done.

'Carry the Unit'? The Offense was doing ok until Pollards injury....its the fact he physically shrunk rather than step upto the challenge. Has someone got his figures pre and post Pollard injury? OK Moore couldn't create a Plan B (and for that he deserves to go),but Dak just capitulated.
Give him 2023, no excuses, no blame, show us he can be a difference maker (and beat adversity) or cut him as a Post 1/6 (2024) and save $34m.
Pollard wasn't able to run effectively, either prior to his injury, had under 3 yards a carry. Moore went away from the run and had less then 20 yards in the 2nd half. I truly believe Dak and MM are now tied together, surround him with talent, if we see the same results, then you make that decision to move on, but the time isn't now when you have Zeke done and Noah Brown as your 2nd best receiver.

Dak has been top 3 in most money in the first 3 years of his contract. There is actually more to a contract than just spotrac "cap hit" - but oh, by the way, that is now up to taking 20% of our cap.
Nope…..this is the first big cap hit other than his 5th year.

Lol dude Dak’s whole thing is he protects the football and he lead the league in turnovers and played in less games.

They wanted him to stay aggressive and that’s what happens when you ask him to do that.
No he’s been aggressive for 5 years now. Another lie. This was the first year he had pick problems. Non issue unless it continues.

Watch Daniel Jones get a Dak level contract this offseason as that what the market dicates.

blah blah blah Hes our qb for 2023, move on ,its NOT productive talking about things that cant be changed, just whining really. its incessive and like a toddler throwing tantrum.

lets go over to the new coaches' threads and wait for 6 months to talk predictions once we see what our team and staff looks like.

This is a myth that's been debunked. If it's a detriment now, explain when Prescott and Elliott were on their rookie contracts at the same time.
Where was "all of this cap money to build?"

You predicted Dak would have a better season than Mahomes, Ken.

You bet me that would happen.

I'd rather you be a real fan of the Cowboys to, but you lost your way somewhere and chose a player over the team.
That's a dumb bet. Wow, no way any person would do that are they?

With what CAP do we use to surround him with talent....we had the highest paid Offense (by Active Roster spend) in 2022.

The fact remains that as soon as you're paid as a QB the ability to pay said talent diminishes and the QB has to step up and earn the money.

I applaud the decision to move on from Moore as it's another of the excuse that be blamed for the sudden and inexplicable decline between Buccs and 49ers games.

Surely, the criteria s how and whether we win Championship games and SB's, the blame has to stop.

Toddler and throwing tantrums from the adult who opens with Blah, Blah, Blah

blah, blah is tantamount to Dak's performances when he's asked to step up and face adversity.

His original post was Dak was not paid elite money. Try and keep up.

Guys we need to be more productive, like trying to defend an average QB and a below avg GM who saddled us with an avg QB.

We don't need to acquire stars or sign premium high-priced fa's, but rather just upgrade the talent. Noah Brown cannot be your #2 receiver.
