I just want to start by saying that I am going to be cheering on the Chiefs as 1. I have a couple of personal bets involving the Eagles and 2. I lived in KC for a year.

With that being said, let's face it. Philly has a 50% chance of winning. There's a very real possibility that the Eagles are going to win a second Super Bowl, and that would be bad for us in the short term. However, as much of an inconvenience that this would be, I can't help but wonder if it might be good for the Cowboys in the long run. I know that the first Eagles SB didn't wake Jerry up. However, if the Eagles can tear that team down and build another champion in a short period of time, then maybe that can wake Jerry up. Maybe then he can understand how badly he's run being a GM.

Perhaps an Eagles win might help Jerry understand that we need the draft, trades in and out, AND FA to win SBs. Will it? Who knows. But what if the Eagles winning actually ends up waking up Jerry or Stephen?

Just some random morning thoughts

I will pull for KC. Don't really like them, but can't stand the Eagles.

However if the Eagles do win, I won't be concerned that they did. I just want to win $$$ in our football pool.
Plus I know a few arrogant KC fans. One really is not a KC fan he is just an idiot and ignorant at the same time. Goes with what ever team is winning in any sport.
And I tell him that all the time.

Our pool, is $200 a square and every score wins $700, including extra points. I have NFC 7, AFC 1.

If given a choice to commit to winning a Superbowl or making money hand over foot while basking in constant attention. Yesterday I rewatched the Dave Wansted interview of how our dynasty was destroyed by Jerry smh

As much as I don't want Philly to win another SB, I really don't care if they do. The Jones family deserves to have it happen to him. The way I'm so over blaming the players on these teams? How many more good players' careers are we going to waste? I thought last year's playoff loss was bad but this year's loss was worse and I as bad as the QB was, he's only a symptom of the illness with this organization. The cancer is right at the top.

Jerry is a bottom line kind of guy. As in $$$ bottom line. He sees the temples he has built. He sees the Forbes ranking. He sees the money coming in every day. He knows he is a future HOFer. He knows on the field success hasn't been there in a long time. But he also thinks he is a highly successful GM despite that.

Exactly, and when you look how our team was constructed during the offseason compared to the Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers, and Bengals, it's easy to see why we shut down. We had an OC who was predictable. We had a team with 1 good WR and a few tight ends. We had a returner with speed that we hardly used during the season, and we traded our other good WR for a pick that we later cut. Thus, Jerry only has himself to blame for why Philly is in the SB. If they win, it's all Jerry's fault.

I used to root passionately against division rivals no matter the circumstances. Anymore I don’t let it get to me as much. I figure why should I care anymore than the owner of my team does?

Not only that, but the players don't care about rivalries. They and the Eagles players hug each other often prior to and after games. So, why should we bother if they aren't bothered by the rivalries?

He's in the HOF, and I think you're right. His Super Bowl is the Forbes rating. If he wasted players careers, oh well, at least he made money.

This is the 6th Super Bowl a Divisional opponent has played in since the last time we made a conference championship.

I can assure you, with confidence, that nothing will change. There is no urgency in this front office to do anything but make personnel decisions their way and print money every season to win the Forbes rankings.

Stephen told you point blank a year ago. During his time with the Cowboys, he's most proud of AT&T Stadium and The Star. And he isn't lying.

Uh, Jerry's already in the HOF.

Jerry only cares about 2 things. #1 that Jimmy never ever gets into the ring if honor #2 that the Cowboys are the center of attention, even if they're speaking bad about the Cowboys. He dosent care as long as their speaking about his shiny toy.

Pretty much, and I sense that this won't be the last time we see the Eagles in a SB before we get back there.

Jerry has been asleep for 28 years. Only thing waking him up is Johnnie Walker Blue sir.

Another Super Bowl for the Eagles is embarrassing, but that's it. The Starship Jerry Jones will not deter from its path.
