..yep, same here. Go KC.

I think Mahomes, Kelce & Co, will be to much for Philly. They are high powered. Simiiliar to Dallas when they we're tuned in.

I think the Eagles are in trouble in the immediate future. That said, they've proven they can rebuild time and time again, so it doesn't matter.

If only Stephen understood that.
I'd like to think so. Especially if they extend Hurts. However, some how, Roseman never seems impacted by it. If only we had a GM that knew how to work the cap like Roseman.

Jerry is only getting richer

Which is what he cares about

I

I don't really think that Jerry cares if they win or not. Fans do but if he really cared about winning he would change.

Exactly, and I can't help but feel like, if he doesn't care, then what gives at times?

You know it Rusty.
Our Franchise's biggest weakness has been Jerry insisting on being GM, even though he himself admitted he should be fired.
This issue is really hurting us now that really competent GM's are blowing our doors off.

And it's worse because it's the Eagles that are the threat that they are. They've cracked the salary cap code. Stephen still think that if you just draft, your team magically becomes a SB contender.

I just want to start by saying that I am going to be cheering on the Chiefs as 1. I have a couple of personal bets involving the Eagles and 2. I lived in KC for a year.

With that being said, let's face it. Philly has a 50% chance of winning. There's a very real possibility that the Eagles are going to win a second Super Bowl, and that would be bad for us in the short term. However, as much of an inconvenience that this would be, I can't help but wonder if it might be good for the Cowboys in the long run. I know that the first Eagles SB didn't wake Jerry up. However, if the Eagles can tear that team down and build another champion in a short period of time, then maybe that can wake Jerry up. Maybe then he can understand how badly he's run being a GM.

Perhaps an Eagles win might help Jerry understand that we need the draft, trades in and out, AND FA to win SBs. Will it? Who knows. But what if the Eagles winning actually ends up waking up Jerry or Stephen?

Just some random morning thoughts
me as well if i decided to watch it, no way the eagles win and i can find a silver lining although i see your point. I hope the eagles get curb stomped . maybe its just me the eagles fans are hard to deal with already and our own fan base drooling over them all season with Constant posts on the eagles etc etc etc ., can not have them get the win.

I live in KC also and will be pulling for the Chiefs. My wife always cheers for the Cowboys for my benefit, so I will return the favor. I actually think KC has the favorable matchup. So long as they can keep Mahomes somewhat protected, Eagles secondary can definitely be attacked.

I think the Chiefs will take this fairly easily and win by 10. Or at least I hope so. Screw Philadelphia and their annoying fan base.

I’d like that to be the case. I just don’t see the Chiefs defense stopping the Eagles run game.

I feel like they just don’t have the front 7 talent

I used to root passionately against division rivals no matter the circumstances. Anymore I don’t let it get to me as much. I figure why should I care anymore than the owner of my team does?
Not only that I'm a fan of the sport itself so I respect the players more than I hate the city of Philly. May the best team win (that's why they play the game)

Trust me. I grew up in a family of Eagles fans. I understand full well about Eagles fans. That said, one must have the humility to realise when your rival is besting you at something. There's a reason why they are in the SB and we are not. That reason is that their front office went out and got talent when they saw that they were deficient in something. Our FO waits until we have to address it in the draft. We could be in the SB next year if Jerry and Stephen really want to be there. Roseman worked out how, and Jerry's been around long enough to know how to do it. We must refocus how we handle free agency. I'd rather our FAs be busts than signing a bunch of scrubs that don't amount to jack squat. At least if they bust like Carr did, I can say that the FO at least tried. And, just like with drafting, they'd get better at it. But to say that James Washington was going to be the receiving difference that Cooper wasn't was a ridiculous assessment. We have needs that the draft alone can't fix. I'd rather they consolidate their FAs to one or two really high prized FAs like Darron Payne. If they can do that, that should help build us the talent that we need to get to the SB. If not, we will have another solid regular season just to be in this same spot next year.

I live in Cleveland now, but I lived in KC from August 2020 until September 2021. I lived near the airport.

Well, if you want some silver lining think about this you can’t argue that things have been very different it may have started slowly but with Mike McCarthy seemingly is being given more power and flexibility along with Quinn to do things that Jerry’s uncomfortable with and has not done in the past sensei Bill Parcells

One I mean they cut Nolan after his first season which they usually don’t coaches in one year into their contracts.

Then they cut Jalen Smith midseason with all that money left on his contract how often does that happen, I thought we said that’s one of Jaylons buddies the whole sunglass narrative is also a farce they cut him anyway.

Then you watch the off-season they cut a lot of players Amari Cooper being the biggest name but letting go of Collins and Connor Williams the kicker and many others seem like a lot more than Jerry normally would do...

Given that we also saw him during the last part of the season during a run going out and trying to pick up free agents guys I know we’re on the street but they were trying to fix problems late in the year normally they were just like their guys and standpat and really not bringing lotta new people they probably in the past with a role with Joseph and all the young guys and not went out and made changes

But the fact is we saw them do so.

Now, this off-season is all of it of surprised that they let all those defensive coach is go but then turn around and get rid of Kellen Moore which is the biggest surprise because the other narrative was Kellen Moore was Jerry’s prodigal son he’s going to have a lifetime contract like Jason Garrett and was going to be the next head coach here that was almost guaranteed narrative being thrown around the last three years that Jerry stuck Mike McCarthy with more etc.

Well that didn’t happen so getting all these facts and it’s being done after we’ve won more games in the last two regular season than any other team in the NFL we got to the second round of the playoffs and typically you would think Jerry Jones will be OK with that and not make any changes he be comfortable right the old narrative he just trying to sell tickets just about marketing then why would you make all these changes and bring Dan Quinn back because you thought maybe with all those defensive coach’s got cut damn queen was probably leaving well that didn’t happen so getting all these facts and it’s being done after we’ve won more games in the last two regular season than any other team in the NFL we got to the second round of the playoffs and typically you would think Jerry Jones will be OK with that and not make any changes he be comfortable right the old narrative he just trying to sell tickets just about marketing then why would you make all these changes and bring Dan Quinn back because you thought maybe when all those defensive coaches got cut , Quinn was probably leaving...

That’s not the case we’re seeing Jerry maybe in the midst of a crisis doing things he usually is no not to do.

So I feel like there’s a chance this off-season he might make a couple bigger moves and he’s used to...

If you saw how emotional he was the things he was saying right after the game, it seems to me that he’s more upset and emotional than usual and then you saw the coaching changes and now maybe that also is a little bit change of philosophy for the free agency.

So as much as people want to keep saying that Jerry will never change, I’m saying the last three seasons he trusts Mike McCarthy and he’s doing things differently it may not be dramatic like fans want to see but while winning while going to the playoffs he’s making changes he normally would not have.

the old if it aint broke, dont fix it person seems to have shifted.

I see that, and that's all fine. I just think he needs to start using trades (especially with how we draft) to acquire draft picks and players and signing more FAs. I think if we can get more talent here, then we will be where we want this franchise to be.

I can't force myself to put on Chief's gear. I will wear my Cowboys gear to support the fact that I can't stand the Eagles, ergo I want the Chiefs to win.

I hate to admit it, but they are one of the most balanced teams I've seen in years also.

That said, they haven't faced a real QB this season. I don't think it matters, but part of me wonders what would have happened to their defense if a legit QB could have started picking on their LBers with mismatches.
Exactly - and the last two weeks, he has not looked great.
