Who is the best "fit" for the Cowboys at WR

I expect Johnson and Addison to both be gone, but I love them.

Out of the "realistic" pick #26 targets, I love Zay Flowers and Hyatt. Different games, but both would be instant impact players here.
Agree. I love Flowers game. Bad QB,
no help, the whole world knew he was getting the ball and he still just wrecked defenses.

Who you taking between Hyatt, Flowers and JSN?

I have them ranked close as prospects. I’m order to be a #1 you need to be able to win at all 3 levels inside and out.

JSN is a sure handed, quality route runner that wins inside only and lacks long speed.

Hyatt lacks the polish JSN has but his ceiling is higher IMO.
You have who ranked close? Devonta Smith and Hyatt?

Right now, I'm tempted to say Flowers. I'd really love to see his Combine... we all know Hyatt is a 4.3 rocket with crazy explosion, but I bet you Flowers does not test too far off of him.

Yea, I agree. I think Flowers is gonna be around a 4.45 guy but the short area quickness and start / stop ability is lethal.

He’s also just more polished IMO.

I’d be happy with either at 26.

Oh ok was gonna say lol. Id definitely agree with that. It’s a flavor thing really. JSN will probably give you more volume, but I can see him being Jarvis Landryish
Yea, I think JSN is a fairly safe prospect but just not sure about his ceiling if he doesn’t run well and how he’s primarily been a slot only guy.

If Hyatt can develop as a route runner I think he gives you more but both have their concerns.

I don't think this is a good year for the Cowboys to draft a WR in the 1st and maybe not in the 2nd.

Hyatt looks really good to me and is much more than just a speed guy, but he has a thin-ish build.
You are exactly right which makes a pick of Mayer or Gibbs a good way to go in that they would help in the passing game and the running game.

Still believe the team is very interested in signing a fa #2 WR. However, if they bring in another so called bridge type of wide receiver, who is the best fit for the Cowboys? I believe there is a need for a real good separator and a receiver who will go get the football, both which they currently lack. Keep in mind, the Cowboys have a very specific prototype at the position and haven't used a high draft pick (1-3) at the position in a very, very long time. MM will be tweaking the scheme, so I don't think it will force the front office to change how they view the position. Of coarse, the outliner is, they did sign Hilton, targeted both Cooks/OBJ who don't fit their typical WR they target. Here are a list of names:

-Q. Johnson TCU
-Addison USC
-Smith-Njigba Ohio State

-Hyatt Tenn
-Flowers BC
-Downs UNC
-Rice SMU
-Scott Cincy
-Mims Jr. Okla
-Tillman Tenn
-Hutchinson Iowa State
-Mingo Ole Miss
-Boutte LSU
-Wicks Virginia
-Washington Penn State
-Perry Wake Forest

Just like corner, think there are 3 who are very likely to go ahead of our pick.
I'd say possibly Hyatt and then Scott and Washington from Penn State.

I think we need to pay attention to the best route runners, that who they have targeted for Dak in the past.

I think Hyatt has serious bust potential. He can get on top of the best of them with his speed, but he literally runs 1 route. And you can’t assume that he will develop that skill because they’re have been plenty like him that never do. He offers something this team desperately needs. But I’m not sure I could take that gamble in round 1.

We need a big move the chains WR like AT Perry or Cedric Tillman if there in the late Day 2 early Day 3

Addison and Flowers for me. I like both.

I think I like Hyatt a little more than a lot of people on here. Obviously, he has blazing speed, which Dallas needs, but he hasn’t run a bunch of different route. However, they weren’t called for in that offense, so it isn’t like he just couldn’t do it.

It is a little bit of a projection but I don’t see any reason that Hyatt can’t learn to run good routes. I would expect him to get the hang of it pretty quickly and as his rookie season goes on, continue to add to his repertoire.

The combine will tell us more. I want to see him in drills and his 3-cone will interest me greatly. A good time on that, and I can’t imagine that he’d have many issues running routes.

If they are really going to a more horizontal WCO, then give me QJohnston hopefully to fall. He has the size and allows for CD to move around much more and be singled up far more often. Give me Iosivas from Princeton in the 5th as well.

Johnston -- size, strength, ability -- everything needed for a WCO possession #1 receiver.
CD Lamb
Gallup
Simi
Iosivas
Turpin

With Tolbert fighting it out with Simi and Iosivas and injuries for a spot.

Last year, they reportedly like Olave, best route runner in the class, Burks/London the so called "big x receiver". I truly believe JSN is more of a target then Hyatt at 26, especially if he runs well at the combine or pro day.

Olave was my favorite WR in last years draft. I really liked him a lot.

I worry about JSN’s speed. I could be wrong because I have misjudged a player’s speed before… but I don’t think JSN will run very well at the combine.

If he does run well, I will feel a little better about him in the first round.

If he doesn’t run at Indy and waits on his pro day, that will be somewhat of a red flag for me.

What do you expect him to run, time wise?

I’m going to really take a deep dive into him in the next couple of days. That might change how I feel about him, but right now I’m a little lukewarm on him as of this moment.

Also loved Olave last year. Think Addison is kinda similar.

I think it is a better bet to take Mayer, Robinson, Gibbs, oline, or corner over a receiver at 26.

Kayshon Boutte Cedric Tillman aren't getting talked about enough

I want a True X WR like Dez who can GO up and get the ball as well go across the middle. To me those are bigger guys 6'2 + i want someone with big hands and that can explosively jump out of the building.

Rice SMU
Tillman TENN
Mingo OleMiss
Davis Fresno State
