Draft notes/opinion over the last few days

I like Ringo's game footage. His arm length and vert/broad jumps were dissappointing but he can muscle WRs better than some higher rated players.

Banks might be higher than 4th. Based on game footage I might have him above Witherspoon. Add in the measurables and it's another plus in favor of Banks.

After the 1st:
Darius Rush is interesting at some point after the 1st round.
- His game footage looks good and he has a wow combination of measurables.
- He was up/down in Senior Bowl 1-on-1 drills. Great on some but completely faked out on a couple of others.

Forbes is a terrific player college player but 166 pounds it just too big of an issue to be a 1st round pick.

In the 4th/5th range maybe DJ Turner II. Short, lightweight with short arms but nice game footage and wow 4.26 forty and 38.5 vert.

I did a spreadsheet of the combine measurables and listed them in Brugler's pre-combine ranking order.

I'd love to have Gonzalez or Branch at 26. Turner is a wildcard just because of his speed. Ringo is probably the most physical of these CB's but Witherspoon is a man as well. I'm a huge Illini fan since I live in central IL and to be honest, I'd LOVE to get all 3 of Witherspoon, Quan Martin and Sydney Brown. Brown is going to give some team ONE HELLUVA SAFETY.

This list looks pretty accurate how I see them. Think the class is strong, but the position always gets overdrafted due to need. Also, keep in eye on that Kansas State Corner, he is like 6’4 and 34 inch arms.

My brother my prayers are with you and your family.
We pretty much have predicted on this site what the Cowboys are looking at. I think offensive line has fallen back because of the health of Steele and what they saw from Tyron at the end of the season. Tyron is still a top 15 left tackle and the best swing tackle in the league.
The need is lessened if Steele is healthy and Tyron starts at LT. Unless a player they really likes falls in their laps, probably going to be more of an early day 3 priority

So very sorry for your loss, our Cowboys brother. I'll talk Cowboys with ya any day, any time. This is the draft where I wished we hadn't gone on that streak under Rush and just totally sucked this season. We can do well but things are going to have to fall right for us to get our guys.

_As for Addison, I'd rather have Flowers. If he's there at 26 I'll be elated.
Thanks! I think if they do sign OBJ, I might be inclined to draft one of those elite te’s. That would shore up our passing game, then grab a runner on day 2.

I agree with Belt CB, pass catcher and running back top 3 priorities. Hope DT and WR are addressed prior to the draft
Prayers to you and your family during this time.

I really wish they would prioritize a DT. Even if one fell to them they would probably pass on him.

I hear ya on TE's but I think we need more help on D at this point than we do at TE. Ferguson has already shown more in one season than Schultz did his first 2-1/2. We need CB, LB and DT way worse than TE but again, it's gotta be BPA.

I also think they really like Wilesko. Supposedly he has really good technique just needs to get stronger. I think they love Fornick as an interior backup. Can you explain to me why the local media is trying to get rid of Tyron. Could you imagine if we didn’t have him at the end of the year.

Certainly they can go the same route as they did with Shultz/Ferguson and take an early day 3 prospect. Corner still remains the favorite depending how their board shakes out

DT must be a legitimate pass rusher, I wonder if they will show interest with Kancey

It’s all about his availability

Julius Brents

Yes, he has great measurables across the board expect his forty time.

Agree in early rounds.

In later rounds run plugger is OK. They drafted Ridgeway and Bohanna.
- Not certain where the cutoff is for them.
- Maybe 3rd round for an elite run plugger.

Sorry about your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

to me the possibility of Washington hitting his ceiling is too much to pass up if he is there at 26(assuming Kincaid is already gone).its a risk but he has really high floor too.

I'm on board with that. Marty B is probably Washington's floor.... his ceiling is up in the Gronk realm.

Waletzko looked really good for a late round rookie until he got injured.
- He has terrific length with an 85" wingspan.

Farniok was servicable when he started 2 games early in the season.
- I could see him becoming as good as McGovern.
