Do you still resign Diggs? If he looks like a future all pro, I’d franchise then trade Diggs in 24. He’ll already be 27 then.
What would it have to do with Diggs? He’s currently on a rookie deal and the rookie would be locked up for 4 years on a rookie deal.Do you still resign Diggs? If he looks like a future all pro, I’d franchise then trade Diggs in 24. He’ll already be 27 then.
What if they get ramsey?Do you still resign Diggs? If he looks like a future all pro, I’d franchise then trade Diggs in 24. He’ll already be 27 then.
Of course you re-sign him, it would give us a dynamic duo at corner. If you don’t re-sign him it could leave a hole at the other corner position. Anthony Brown wasn’t playing well before he got hurt and Bland still has a ways to go. I really don’t understand why fans want to move on from Diggs. We have an opportunity to build a great secondary and fans want to ruin it by moving on from good players. You have fans on the board they don’t want to re-sign Donovan Wilson who’s been one of the best safeties we’ve had in years. If it was up to the fans on this board they wouldn’t pay anyone.Do you still resign Diggs? If he looks like a future all pro, I’d franchise then trade Diggs in 24. He’ll already be 27 then.
I really wish I could punch you in the face right now.Is CB really a premium position that a team should spend big money on?
Depends on the team. Philly, the team everybody on here seems to envy thinks corner is a premium. Is CB really a premium position that a team should spend big money on?
Curious, do you think we should sign anyone on the team to a second contract? If yes, who and why?We shouldn't re-sign Diggs whether we draft a corner high or not.
It'll be yet another bad contract.
I don't want to sign diggs regardless. he is not a top 10 CB. he is going to want top money. he tackles like a girl in 3rd grade. not worth the money he is going to ask for. worst case scenario he walks and we get a 3rd for comp. else, I say trade him and get a 2nd rounder back.Do you still resign Diggs? IMO again just my opinion. you lock up the QB they are the hardest to find. you lock up the pass rusher they are hard to find. you lock up some OL and DL when you find someone you cannot replace there productivity in the draft. the rest are interchangeable you may have to adjust your scheme for a type of player but with those 4 locked up (QB,PassRush,OL,DL) you can build a team around that. again i’m not saying don’t go after good players you have to. you just let them walk and have someone to replace them on roster and draft. yea you will have some drop off in production at wr,cb,rb,s,lb. but you can just replace and repeat. as long as you can stop the run protect the qb and get after the qb. some rb will get through the hole, a wr will catch the ball, and a cb will pick the ball off or knock down the ball. again just my opinionDo you still resign Diggs? We have been asking for a ball hawking corner for years and now you want to get rid of him? Yes, he isn't great against the run, but teams just stopped throwing at him as the were afraid he would pick it off. You pay your skilled positional players, especially ones that are legitimate playmakers, which Diggs certainly is.Do you still resign Diggs? If he looks like a future all pro, I’d franchise then trade Diggs in 24. He’ll already be 27 then.
Corners get paid for their coverage abilities, anything else is an added bonus.Yes, you pay Diggs.
He never was that timid against the run… but at the end of last season, he was avoiding contact, for sure. He almost had to have a nagging injury and the coaches told him to try not to re-aggravate it, because he never had avoided contact like that. Not at Alabama and not in Dallas.
Nah, that’s just the excuse trotted out for certain CBs that don’t like the other physical aspects of being a defender.Corners get paid for their coverage abilities, anything else is an added bonus.
Agree. Lots of them make business decisions when they see those running back headed right for them.Corners get paid for their coverage abilities, anything else is an added bonus.
There aren't many Winfield's in this league, more the Deion types.Nah, that’s just the excuse trotted out for certain CBs that don’t like the other physical aspects of being a defender.
Until he holds out to start this season demanding top $$ like Zeke’s little Ewok *** did. Do you really think contract obs mean ANYTHING to these guys? What would it have to do with Diggs? He’s currently on a rookie deal and the rookie would be locked up for 4 years on a rookie deal.
