CB's from the combine matching Dallas drafting tendencies

To simplify…tall/long and run fast.

Lot of those dudes in this draft. Great year to add a CB but I hope we don’t pigeon hole ourselves into that criteria.

There are some 5’11 dudes that are freaking studs.

Top 3 cbs in order?
Mine?

1. Witherspoon - Demi-god CB.
.
.
.
.
.
2. Gonzales - Great size and extremely smooth for a guy with his length. Ball skills are improving.
.
.
3. Porter - Great build for a Quinn CB. Strong. Needs some coaching though, but very good.

Next would probably be Banks.

The gap between Witherspoon and Gonzales is bigger than the gap between Gonzales and Porter.

I have a feeling Porter is going to be the apple of their eyes. I think there is only a small chance he is there though. I don't see a guy like Banks or Smith leapfrogging him in the draft, and I think Witherspoon or Gonzalez are off the board at the Eagles pick. That would make it difficult for the #3 CB to fall to us

Banks is probably the most realistic option, but I don’t think he’s available.

Dallas probably likes all 3 of those guys, but Witherspoon is one of the best corners that I’ve seen in years. I would hope they have him as their top CB.

I can’t see Witherspoon getting by Detroit at 6. He was made to play for Dan Campbell… and coach is going to love everything about Spoon.

Then, there is a good chance that Gonzales goes to Philly at 10. Howie might not be able to control himself about Nolan Smith… but if he doesn’t pick Smith, I think it’ll be Gonzales.

Finally, Porter will likely go to Washington at 16.

So, Banks is probably the best chance of Dallas picking CB at 26.

That’s how I see it unfolding.

Lance Zerlien now has Turner as a 1st rounder. I have nothing left to add.

If we were neighbors I’d bet you a beer Gonzalez goes first. To me he’s the epitome of size / length / athlete and tape.

I know Witherspoon is your guy…

Can’t wait to see who goes 1st. Such a fun CB group.

I agree. And I love the Spoon. Gonzalez checks all the boxes and has tremendous upside. I think there is a good chance that Philly takes Porter, and Washington then takes the Spoon.

I think you’d owe me a beer… but we’ll see. I’m never one to say that I know for sure I’m right when it is just an educated guess, so it’s possible. Gonzales is a very good player.

I think there is a chance we end up with both of those guys in our division.

I called it before his 40 too. The 40 just put a stamp on the film
I absolutely remember that you were saying it before the combine. That’s really what I meant by, ”you’ve been saying it all along”. I just didn’t word it well.

If you remember, I said that I liked him too. I think he’s a good player but I didn’t think he’d run that fast.

I think the consensus is those are the top 3, with Banks as #4. Any of them make it to 26, will be the pick, but not expecting it to happen. Question is who are the best 2nd/3rd tier guys?

Luulz, this goof is taking a victory lap for a name showing up in someone’s mock, smh.

Come back when the player is actually drafted in the 1st round.
can you mention my kids/wife next time please!? I need you to make me run to the moderators
