His previous cap hit was $26 million, so if that got reduced he had to have taken a fairly significant pay cut.

probably a restructure with voidable years to spread the cap hit out.
His contract already voided after this season and had money from previous restructures prorated into the next 3 seasons!

That is a big step towards Philly not drafting Witherspoon. Thank God. Hopefully, they don’t.
I never thought him or Gonzales would fall to them but I guess there was a possibility. They should still look at corner though they have to know Slay isn’t a long term answer.

Their players seem bought in to what they're building.
Yep. Between home town discounts and established veterans returning rather than looking elsewhere, they definitely have a team that players want to stay with.

I mean if they somehow keep Gardner Johnson, there hasn't been quite the talent drain that people here were screaming about. Yeah they lost Edwards and Hargrave but people here were laughing that they would get gutted on defense. Looks like that ain't happening. Granted, Gardner Johnson is an important cog for them.

One of the funnier, but utterly predictable things, about this is that a month ago, some here was laughing that the Eagles wouldn't be able to sign many, if any, of their bigger vets on defense. Now that they have brought some back, the cry from those same people is, well they weren't all that good anyway. LOL.
