Wash needs a QB right now maybe slightly better.

Giants were missing all 4 starting DBs otherwise we lose game 2 last season.

Eagles are a question, are they as hungry as last season? Big test for HC. We'll see.

Kellen will be more of a loss than we expected and Mike won't be the savior everyone thinks.
Quinns defense will be stout but don't know if they'll make up for the offense. Everyone thinks we'll be a running juggernaut but you have to have a ligit threat to pass also or you'll be pressed all the time.

Right now I think 3-3 would be my expectation for the division. Best case.

But it's really early.
Kellen probably won't be missed. He gets too cute (just like Garrett) at the wrong times and absolutely refuses to adjust the playbook for the talent on the offense and tries to fit them to his mold rather than adjust to their strengths. Will McCarthy do better? I don't know, but Kellen was certainly a big problem. He wouldn't even slow the offense down for TOP control to help the defense. That's limited thinking in the long run.

Sure Dak is a problem and the Cowboys are likely to continue coming up short with him as QB, but he wasn't helped by Moore.

While not claiming Lamar Jackson is Top 5 QB's in the league, there is no denying that his style of play makes him probably Top 10.

That said, with the draft just over 1 month away, could a team like Washington who currently holds the #16 pick overall and is in line for a good player albeit not a QB have reached out with Jackson and in essence verbally said we will sign you and give you a sizable contract with guaranteed money but only after the draft thereby forcing Baltimore's hand to either match the offer or settle for (2) 1st round picks in 2024 and 2025, thereby missing out on a pick in 2023???

If you add Jackson to the Washington team, with a solid defense and say they select Bijah Robinson with the #16 pick, now you have a team that suddenly has a QB that does not have to run as much (yet defenses still have to respect is running ability) because of a solid RB. Hmmmmm
Washington likes Brian Robinson Jr and have Antonio Gibson….they have too many holes to draft RB with a top 20 pick. I don’t see it but who knows what they are thinking. They’ve been trying to convince us Sam Howell is the future.

Philly’s offense will be the same. They will probably slide Cam Jurgens to RG until Kelce retires. They always went RBBC since the Super Bowl year, so I suspect they will go with Penny, Gainwell, and a back to be named later. Even a JAG running back can probably be decent with that line. They seem good getting OL anywhere in the draft. Looks like they are taking the “score 35 a game and hope the defense makes a few stops” approach next year.

As of today with the draft yet to come, the Cowboys are the clear favorites.

Washington beat the crap out of Dallas with a 3rd-string rookie 5th-round quarterback, and then Dallas went and lost to an the last rookie taken in the wild card round.

Who knows what Dallas is or isn't at this point.
Are you serious ????? Bro I think most of you guys just try to stay in character, some tough guy, no nonsense persona.

That post was Comical .

The knock on both Davis and Dean though, they take plays off (from things I read and heard going into last season), and do not give 100%. Now can coaching in the NFL change that, possibly.
But I would still take both players here.
Davis has conditioning issues, but you are the first person I've ever seen question Dean's effort.

I’m no optimist but if we have a good draft and sign Hankins, Fowler, a kicker, and hopefully Wagner…I would pick us to win the east, esp since no one has ever repeated as champs. I will never believe in Daniel Jones and Wash has talent but they always find a way to lose. I think the eagles will be less good and they are a Hurtz injury away from being last. I know that’s true for any team but they are running him a lot and making it more likely.

Cowboys 11-6
Philly 10-7
NYG 8-9
Wash 6-11

of course this could change and anything could happen but Philly probably takes a step backwards as per usual for nfce winners...The Giants arent a good team and im not entertaining anyone that says they are and a threat and Washington isnt good at all....

Dallas is whatever they want to be....if they want to win theyll find a way if they want to lose theyll find a way to do that as well

You know that game was a throw away , last game of the year playing for nothing, after we could not gain any ground on philly we were done.

Sorry for the response, it was harsh, and I apologize.

I should have just said I disagree

We are into week 2 of FA now. I have not looked at all the NFL teams moves yet, for FA's as well as their own FA.
Not even all the NFCE teams other than what I seen on here.
What are your thoughts, and honest thoughts so far. I say honest, as we all know we will get some of the standard comments.
And thoughts as of now, as we have more FA moves as well the main way to improve, the draft.

Washington, have not seemed to do too much, other than giving Payne a huge contract. If they get a QB I can see them improving though, but enough to challenge for the division, just can't see it right now. They have some very good skill players, and will Chase Young finally step up. I still don't think their defense is as good as some think, but they play well against weaker offenses.

NYG, Daboll get a good job, especially with Jones at QB. Barkley will be more recovered from his injury. They were a surprise team, and DaBoll deserved coach of the year, IMO. Can we see improvement especially if they get some WR's, as their defense is not bad. Or will they take a step back with film on his system now.

I see both teams about the same.

Philly, they lose 5 of 11 defensive starters so far, retained 1 or 2. Lost their starting RB and one OL, and another depth OL, retained none that I know of on offense.
They lose both OC & DC also. More film on the offense as well. Can they keep up the same offensive style, as how do they keep the defense from getting worse.
Seems a big step back for now. However they do have draft capital to replace players or some of them.

Dallas, retained their DC, got addition by subtraction from Moore leaving for OC. Retained some key players, made 2 very good trades to help the team.
Still have 7 picks, one in each round in the draft.

So far I see Philly taking a step back, and Dallas at least the same if not a step forward.

I usually go with the current division winner as the favorite going into the next season, unless some drastic changes happen. And so far Philly losing all those starters as well as the OC & DC, that is a big step back.
So I am saying for now, Dallas is the slight favorite, but that could change after the draft.
I think all the happening with Snyder kinda has them in limbo
