No TB is going to put the Cowboys over the top. Again, people are acting like Robinson is this once in a generation talent like a Randy Moss and that’s just not the case.
He really has no flaws. He has Marshall Faulk type footwork and vision at over 6 foot and 220 lbs...

Pass on Carter. He disappointed at combine and couldn't finish he's proday after showing up out of shape and overweight. Couple that with his no contest plea he has soured some teams

We (the zone) really need to develop a consistent philosophy.

If we are going to completely devalue RB's and say you need to churn them, then I don't see using a first round pick on one. Focus on your line & put lesser players behind it.

If we are going to somewhat devalue the position, then I think you consider a RB late in the first if they are viewed as truly special.

Maybe we should make this a poll question and see how the numbers shake out.

Got it, a number one pick on a position we don't need

Jerry is that you?

A 1st rnd pick SHOULD be an impact player, regardless of position. Robinson is that. As a 1st rnd pick you would assume you get 5 yrs of that impact. I'm in favor of that at 26 if he's there. Longevity at any position is suspect in today's NFL. Thinking the player/position sets you up for the 10 yrs is a nice thought, but never a guarantee

At 26th pick? you bet I would take him. I don't turn my back on true playmakers and difference makers and that is what Robinson is.
Agree. In fact, if BJ is gone I might take Gibbs or charbonet

The Eagles have a much earlier pick as well

Like us, they let a key RB walk.
But unlike us, they did not franchise a returning RB.
They seem more likely to take him than Dallas
Howie (correct me if I am wrong) has never drafted a RB in the first round. I doubt they do now. Especially with a top ten pick.

Let's see, Dallas
  • Franchise tagged Pollard (can't recall a team ever drafting a RB in 1st rd after doing thT
  • Signed FA Ronald Jones today
  • Sign Rico Dowdle

This really adds up to Dallas not looking for a RB in Rd1
never say never, but it sure looks that way

I have no idea
All I know is that they have two 1st round picks and more after that, so they can draft anywhere they want with trades up or down

I do know they let their RB walk, while we franchised ours plus signed a FA RB

I agree. I would love to get Robinson but highly doubt it, I think he will go well before the 26th pick. I do know that this draft has several quality RB. Robinson teammate Roschon Johnson has also impressed me both as a RB and a blocker.

The Eagles will move up from 30, ahead of the Cowboys, to snatch him. That's their MO.

Eagles will have to use their #10 on Bija..and maybe trade up from there. Seahawks, Lions, Raiders and Falcons could all take him.
