Fournette averaged 3.5 yards a carry last year and has been under 4 in 4 out of 6 seasons of his career. Fans were just complaining about Zeke who averaged 3.8.

I think around here we're not satisfied unless a back is averaging 5 yards per carry and carrying the ball 300 times per season. This isn't like signing Darren McFadden in 2015. Jones is here to either split the load with Pollard or be the nuclear option if Pollard doesn't come off his injury well or any back we draft doesn't prove ready to contribute. Not saying it's a great signing, just that I see no reason to complain about it. It would be different if we were needing a bell-cow back, but that's not the expectation. Now, the expectation could be wrong, but that's why we hopefully get a back in the first-third rounds of the draft.

Wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't make the final roster. They just wanted a veteran as insurance for now but things can and will change between now and August.

I kind of like Zach Charbonnet in the late second, but I'm not that picky. I also thought Tashard Choice would be a quality back, and that we should have drafted Stephen Jackson (instead of Julius Jones). So I'm hit and miss.

He was very good in TB. Maybe he just looked fast because Fournette is so slow.

Where running backs should be drafted in todays NFL

We should trade our 1st 2nd and 3rd round picks for all the 4th round picks we can get and never draft any player above the 4th round. That is a Superbowl winning formula if I ever seen one
