We don't have any haters around here....just, some educated fans that know more than our FO and coaches.

Joke's aside, I like the moves, look forward to the draft and hopefully a splash player or two. I get the frustration that some show....I chose to be positive and not go into the season defeated and bitter.
Now to get ahead of or even with Kansas City, (the team that left Dallas); Philadelphia; and San Francisco...GO COWBOYS!

Even before the draft, I believe this is the year the Cowboys reach at least the NFC Championship game. The defense was already good and we resigned both Wilson and LVE and added Gilmore. Bland is going to be even better with another year under his belt. They‘ll probably add some help in the the draft. The offense is going to be better with Cooks and the release of Zeke. Loved Zeke, but he was a progress stopper and it was time for him to go. Hell, a 6th round RB could probably out produce Zeke sad to say. The only receiver the Cowboys had in 2022 was CeeDee and he was great. But there was no one else. Gallup was mentally hobbled coming off injury. Noah Brown? Give me a break. Shultz was solid but there are better TE’s to be had. The passing game suffered from only having 1 legitimate WR. The rest could not consistently get open.

But the BIGGEST reason I believe this is the year is MM. He finally jettisoned the anchor in KM. Moore is a young coach who was trying to build his resume. And he did so at the expense of the team. I’m sure he thought that having an explosive offense would help the team reach the SB. But it didn’t pan out that way because ball control in the NFL is more important than scoring 30 every game.

The Cowboys have finished 12-5 the last 2 years. Despite all the haters here, this team is on the cusp. You can hate on Dak, but he’s not the issue. When you only have 1 WR you’re going to struggle. When you don’t have a running game you’re going to struggle. When you’re defense can’t stop the run you’re going to struggle.

So like every year, yes every year, I predict this is the year for the Cowboys. Even before the draft I feel they’ve done enough. So you haters go ahead and crap on this thread. I’ll see you in January 2024.
This is our best chance in many seasons.
Let's see what transpires.

Dare to dream....

There was a 20 year interval in Cowboys history when reaching the NFC championship game was the expectation.

They accomplished that 12 times during that 20 year period and only missed the playoffs twice.
Thanks for reminding me :banghead:

This should be a better year. If we get hot and get on a streak at the right time then no team can beat us. Almost like we need to make the playoffs and have a 2 game slump right before the playoffs start.

They could be better at every position group both on offense and defense. But what team could not be? In an NFC conference that is very mediocre at best (actually weak) they are strong enough to be in the thick of things. They are good enough that when the injuries come they should still be able to compete and win often. I still have enough faith in the QB to think he CAN be a playoff winner. I think the coaching staff knows how to win and is actually improved this season. The really good news is that the scary teams (mainly KC) are in the other conference.

"intense or passionate dislike"...that is the definition if hate.

Expressing distrust is not hate no matter how much you wish to claim it is.
I don’t think you understand the difference between hating and hate. They’re not the same. This isn’t Websters dictionary. Get a clue.

Again, hate and hating are actually the same thing with the only difference being hate is used as a noun and verb whereas hating is used as a verb. Simply because you want to claim someone hates Dak because they voice distrust in his ability to win 3 straight games in the playoffs does not equate to hate.

Won't see me crapping on it. Even though my posts are not always positive, I always have faith going into the season. I see what you're looking at here and it gives me the early 80s vibe. We are on the cusp. We've seen it before with a lot of other teams in similar situations. Did we make the moves to get over the top? I don't know, but I have to hope for the best going in.

What could have been a good post was destroyed in a few words with your typical BS: "Despite all the haters here"

You can't help but take shots at people and belittle them in any and every post you make.
Exactly what I got out of it.

It was a very good and optimistic post. Right up until the end where the compulsion to attack other people kicked in once again. And that ruined an otherwise good thread starter.

...the 'THIS GAME IS ALREADY OVER!' comments will not be posted during the first quarter of gameday threads?

Too bad you are wrong. Again. I hate on Dak myself. Has nothing to do w hating him.

Jerry thanks your for your blind faith, but he especially thanks you for your money.

You see, this is why Dallas fans are ridiculed as much as we are. It's the textbook reason. Everything we see about how this team is put together screams 'one and done', assuming they even make it to the playoffs. Yet here we are with the super bowl proclamations once again.
Change my mind.

Explain to me how your fandom affects/impacts Jerry and the team as opposed to the blind faith crowd’s fandom.
