The whole “homer-hater” thing is an extremely exhausting and oversimplified discussion. Just like most things in life, nothing is ever that black and white.

All of us as fans are as diverse as our personalities. It seems to me that whenever someone doesn’t like a particular opinion of a fan, they are too often labeled either a homer or a hater, depending on the accuser’s perspective. Too often we make assumptions about our fellow fans that are simply untrue or incomplete.

The Cowboys will always be my favorite team. Always. Regardless of won-loss record. And because I love the team, I am constantly thinking about ways we can get better, where we are good, and where we aren’t. I’m often wrong but expressing those opinions are what this forum is all about. The only thing I hate is LOSING. So when I’m critical of the leadership of this team, it’s because I want to see us win!

The next time you‘re tempted to call someone on here a “homer” or a “hater”….just don’t. It’s not that simple.

Can't help myself....I'm just optimistic and I don't get discouraged because I understand how hard it is to win....I will say this, it's fun trying and not giving up! Salud, homers and haters! We're all fans...Go Dak and Jerry! Lol!

Chaos is always the norm. That requires after action analysis at a high level - following all activity and immediately following a season.

In the NFL, this requires good leadership that develops good on carpet leadership and skills.

All should keep in focus the truth that Cowboy evaluations have become very strong under the current accountability under Jerry now, has become top shelf.

Dallas has walked the necessity route to smartly maintain cash flow and team quality rosters.

Talented coaches go along with player development. This we are now seeing going onto the field.

This is the current status of a good Dallas Cowboy team...but a fan of the Cowboys has to acknowledge the existence of a good team.

Jerry has finally succeeded with this franchise...fact.

This is football and a tough game to take to fruition. Going through the pitfalls is far from easy. That is the fact for even the best of teams now.

That is true, but after two consecutive 12 win seasons, this fan is rooting and confident of yet a third straight of this team view.

I won''t react kindly to a stereotyped version wrapped up in a pompous stereotyped version that doesn't touch upon the truth or really rooting for the good in our 'chosen' team!

year after year, the puff article team guys like Spagnola and a host of others, come out in droves and its always the same thing verbatim. Even the DC.com shows are like this. All cookie cutter Kool-Aid drinking junk. NEVER ever do they question the way things have been done here. It all hasn't been bad...ie we draft well...but the results have been the issue. I will remain positive but skeptical until we see it. I just can't let myself get suckered again.

There are sooooo many factors that go into winning. Omgosh, coaching. Jerry doesn't throw the ball or run the ball or block or any of that other stuff that wins football games. I don't consider myself "suckered" by any means. Do I want them to win.....of course I do! I love the game, (not as much as I used to back in the 70's, 80's and early 90's), but the love and wanting to win never changes.

Is it Jerry's fault? Whether it is or not, he is still the top man, and it's lonely at the top. Does he deserve the blame? Ok maybe. Jerry is just one piece of the cherry pie, albeit the main cherry. A lot of other factors at play here. jmho

True but we have a higher expectation here and we should. We are the Dallas Cowboys...the Yankees, the Lakers, the Celtics if u will, that ilk. The standard should be very high as should expectations. Anything else won't do.
