Drafted by Cowboys 6th Round - Pick 178 - CB Eric Scott Jr (Southern Miss)

There is plenty of film but don't give up the day time job of criminal investigation...

Its the 6th round....

whos looking for anything other than depth?

you think we're looking for potential starters? in the 6th? if he comes in and competes for the number 2 or 3 role then he exceeds expectations

if he challenges for #1 then we found a diamond in the rough

more than likely he might run gunner on special teams, be on kickoff coverage or be block on punt returns...

Who makes these projections? Because I have a draft guide here from "experts" saying USC tackle Andrew Vorhees is a 2nd round pick and he's still available. Let's not get caught up in this stuff because if these guys knew everything they would be employed by an NFL team.
Vorhees is slipping because he is hurt and won’t play this year.

But you gave up NEXT YEARS 5th because they had to have him. That’s what makes it bad

Great question. I was thinking the same thing. Why trade up at all in the 6th round? Do they have some kind of special perspective on this guy that no one else sees? Were they afraid someone else would take him?
He was one of our visits so they may very well have a special perspective

Why would you give up next years 5th to trade up in this years’ 6th lol? Am I missing something here?
Yes you are and it’s obvious.

If he turns out to be a player, we get him a full year early. Also, we have a couple mediocre corners( Wright, Joseph ) that hopefully this guy can help send packing.
