He must expects the Seahawks to make a huge jump if they leapfrog Dallas and about 5 other teams.

I have Dallas 3rd right now after the Eagles and 49ers.

Hopefully the training camp and the first 3 games that count changes my mind about that.
I saw this segment live and knew he would put either Seattle or LA in front of us. He grew up in the PNW and has personal friendships with McVay/Snead. I was prompted to go online and look up NFC power rankings pre and post draft and 99.9% of them have us as the 3rd best team.

If his reasoning is Seattle is filled with talented players they are just young, then how could they leap frog us who have just as many if not more plus they are in their prime? Plus, outside of their WR corps, they do not have one unit clearly better than ours.

But then again Cowherd has predicted we go 9-8 back to back years and always acts like our offseasons are dramatically poor. He severely overrates our losses while dismissing other teams departures. For example, he says he dropped us down because we lost Kellen Moore when the Eagles lost Steichen. For us it’s a huge loss, for them it’s no big deal lol. He swears Shultz and Zeke are big losses, when he acts like Hargrave can be replaced by Carter asap and CGJ being gone doesn’t matter.

At least with Philly they made the SB twice in the last 6 years so they can get a benefit of the doubt. What Seattle has done to leap frog us I have no clue. They had a good draft but if you think a bunch of 1st and 2nd year guys and a QB with only one good year is going to unseat a team who’s had back to back 12 year seasons and hasn’t had any major losses is going out on a limb.

Detroit’s defense was one of the worst in the league last season and they lost the running back duo of Swift/Williams. You are counting on a rookie class to overcome Dallas elite defense. Interesting……,,
Detroit is all about their offensive line. Seems like they upgraded their backs with montgomery and gibbs.

You think Gibbs/Montgomery is in upgrade. Williams was someone I wanted the Cowboys to go after and pair with Pollard. The national media would have you think Swift is Bo Jackson when healthy after he was traded to the Eagles.

They have Derek Carr though. Do you think they can do enough to overcome him?
I think he can do enough when he doesn’t have to do too much. This is going to be far and away the best defense he’s played with. They don’t need too much more than bus driver to get 10 wins in that devision… he provides a bit more than bus driver!

It’s logical. The Panthers didn’t have thte 1st overall pick last year because they earned it. They were a 7 win team with arguably the best roster in the NFC South ignoring Tom Brady. TB is now gone, so that holds. They made the most upgrades this offseason, not unrealistic they go from 7 to 9 or 10 wins, especially since 1 of their losses was by Brady (had they won that game, they’d be a playoff team)
shutup and go away. it’s not logical by any stretch

I feel may be a tad high at the moment. You have the preseason juggernauts in Kansas City and Philly. The next tier with teams like Cincinnati, Buffalo, San Francisco, Dallas etc.

I feel it’s debatable to be anywhere between 5-9 easily depending on the day.
you named 6 teams lol. so how is it a bit high? and we are definitely a better team than cincy and probably buffalo

The NFC is very weak....so don't matter what the top 10 is. Anything lower than 2 or 3 are irrelevant. The AFC rules. It might encourage reseeding the entire NFL playoff teams and having them play interconference to determine the SB teams. But that will take several years before the league decides to get the two best teams in the SB.

Don’t sleep on Detroit. I told a guy at work today that they may make the NFC Championship before we do. I think right now they are being more aggressive about building their roster. We are kind of sitting on our laurels.

Detroit will be the sexy, trendy pick this year. I think we knew that last year, given the way they ended the season.
