Why are we acting like RAS is a reputable measurement of talent/success? I literally heard about RAS for the first time last weekend! LMAO!
Nobody never cared before and I'm not sure why they care now it doesn't mean y0u'll be a player lol.

This draft was an unmitigated failure. Last year’s draft was a complete bust as well. Tolbert is a total flop

The Cowboys number is low for a couple of reasons. Mazi didn't qualify, Fehoko is graded as an Edge instead of a DT, and Vaughn has an afwul score. Other than Vaughn, they still drafted athletes with every pick.

Mazi Smith: n/a
Luke Schoonmaker: 9.86
DeMarvion Overshown: 8.18
Junior Fehoko: 5.34
Asim Richards: 7.48
Deuce Vaughn: 4.32

If you give Mazi a 9 and and grade Fehoko as a DT (7.95) the numbers are very different. That's an average of 7.79, which is middle of the pack.

I made my post before reading yours. You broke it down perfectly. For the reasons you stated taking the average score from such a small population is practically useless. One or two outliers completely skews it.

Aren’t you tired of being middle of the pack?

I heard them on Broadus interview last year and he turned me off as someone who didn’t get it and there’s only confirms my suspicions.

He’s another Jerry payroll, puppet

Mazi was #1 on Bruce Feldman's 2022 College Football Freaks List.

Schoonmaker was 16th of 1105 TEs since 1987 in terms of RAS ranking.

Some people need to think before they post.

The reason that graph has us so low is one because mazi was an NA on the RAS. And two because Vaughan is 5’5.

Give your head a shake
It makes no sense to average 1st/2nd round picks with late round picks.

Yes, I'm sure Jerry said "don't take good athletes."

This is just skewed by the Vaughn pick. The Cowboys have always been as interested in athletes (Sparq, RAS) as anyone else .
If Jerry is involved I wouldn't be surprised to see him ordering marginal athletes in order to stay relevant and interesting.

Thanks 43Harris43. Nice to have you back from the old site.
DAAAAAAAAMN !!!!!!!!! I had forgotten all about him.

This data is wrong. It includes Scott running a 4.7 when he ran a 4.45... and it has Fehoko as a DE and not a DT.

Also, McClay has a decade of the best drafting in the NFL. The only clown is OP

We've had some really good drafts lately, so this is a weird thread.
I was expecting to see McClay in some white face paint with a rubber nose and oversized shoes. But maybe a sad clown face instead of a happy one since he's overrated.

He's a fraud because he doesn't draft based on RAS? Huh?

Did you look at the chart? You notice how most of the teams at top suck except Philly lol?

I swear most of y'all are uniformed Eagles fans....have to be. You heard him in a interview and it "confirms" your suspicions. You didn't like the guy to begin with. The mods should lock this thread up for offering nothing of substance.
If they did that, they would have to lock 7 out of 10 threads posted on this site.

Just because I don't know, why did Mazi not qualify?

Not at all. Not all the freak athlete busts I've seen.
RAS has a link showing the RAS scores of all-pro players since 1987. Some interesting scores
DeAndre Hopkins - 4.94
Dalvin Cooker - 4.65
Tom Brady - 2.74
Cooper Kupp - 5.0
DeForest Buckner - 3.95
Deebo Samuel - 7.91
Davante Adams - 6.54
Shaq Barrett - 3.91
Darius Leonard - 4.9
Tyrann Mathieu - 4.32
Xavien Howard - 4.27

I am sure there are more. Overall, I would say that a high RAS score is an indication of potential success in the NFL but a lot of really good players, some future HoF players had low RAS scores. In summary, let's wait until they take the field to see what kind of players they are.
