I know,. It's just a boring off-season locker room interview. But this one is important to me, because I think this team is on the cusp of greatness, and the reporters did an outstanding job asking him difficult soft-ball questions (see what I did there?). Tolbert basically said he isn't attempting some bust-and-run heist on the Cowboys for picking him that high, just so he can slouch off and rake in the money like Zeke (juust kidding) thinking he could just rely on natural athleticism. I'm not around Tolbert to see what he does with his time. But that's not necessary. He showed up to camp looking as ripped as Cheech and Chong. I can tell just from that two-minute interview that his head is in the right place, his thoughts are legitimate, his humble approach is a strength, and that he's plenty capable of learning, and physically gifted enough to play at this level.

I actually like that he has sort of a chip on his shoulder this year.

He was just frustrated last year. I'm betting that once the gloves came off and the pads came on, he had the epiphany that he was not in Kansas anymore. You can bet your butts the media has stashed that catch-phrase just in-case Vaughn has a lackluster game during his rookie season.

I'm not getting soft in my support for Tolbert, and it's good to see he's not getting soft on Dallas. Interesting bit about learning from T.Y. because that's how you learn, grow and improve. Everyone starts somewhere, and he's not making excuses so I like it.

I was a little worried about our depth at WR, but Tolbert and Fehoko both have some time with the team now.

I just wanted to reiterate, for the record, I'd be for adding a player like Hopkins and definitely Dalvin Cook, if there's any substance behind that rumor.

Hoping for a good season for the young Buck.

I'm going on record and saying the Cowboys have the best WR4 in the league.

The lights have come and he is ready to roll. He won't be a 50-60 catch guy, but he will be solid.

He was so bad last year and didn't show any signs of promise.

I have no idea how you are including him as the WR4. They guy played in like 1 game last year and looked awful in preseason play.

The word is it was Simi Fehoko who stood out more during the recent OTAs. Supposedly, Simi was catching everything thrown at him, even catching some with the 1st team Offense while going up against Gilmore.

Video talking about Simi Fehoko's OTAs performance starts at the 08:23 mark and runs through the 13:40 mark...

I was going to include another video that was even more detailed about Simi's recent OTAs performance, but the film host made several slurs and derogatory words, so I had to pass on including that video.

I'm sorry but Tolbert sucks. No hope for him at all, he's too meek and mild...

I don't get too excited about OTA standouts, especially at receiver. Receivers generally have an advantage over DBs in those settings, especially DBs who don't know much about them. A lot of how well a secondary plays comes down to scheme and pressure. It isn't all just one-on-ones even if a lot of these drills are. Plus, there's a lot of time spent studying your opponent's strengths and weaknesses that isn't done for something like OTAs. In other words, this is the time when receivers should really look their best.

Simi and Tolbert are both going to have to show that they deserve to climb up the ranks by winning their preseason battles. It's great that they are showing something in these settings, but doesn't mean much and we shouldn't get too excited about it ... or for that matter, how anyone plays, whether they are out there with the first team, etc. They are running half-speed. They're not hitting. It's not football.

Tolbert has been saying all the right things this offseason. It’s going to come down to performing this summer.

Did you listen to the interview? Did you read the article about him last week? Did you hear his interview last week? Did you read his scouting reports before the draft? Did you read the post season report about him and why he struggled?

You have to look beyond "he was so bad last year" or "guy played in like 1 game last year and looked awful in preseason play" to find out the true story of what's going on.

There is a reason the Cowboys took him in the 3rd round. The Tolbert we see this September will be much different than before.

In my mind, I honestly have Simi ahead of Tolbert as well. But Tolbert should put up a fight.. If not, it's going to be Cropper, in my opinion. Dude got overlooked, just like I thought he would. He's gonna ball.

The truth is, like Joseph, he didn't get enough time on the field to determine whether he was good or bad.

In fact, we may never know. They are only going off what they're seeing in practice. From what I see, I'm betting Simi was ready last year, and will be more than ready this year.

I think you mean SImi Fehoko?

Just kidding. I can't call it between these two. My hunch says Fehoko, but it's difficult to say. I also think Cropper is in the mix, and our other guy, Brooks. There really were a lot of WRs in this draft. They just weren't media darlings.

You had to look beyond the top 20. Many saw Cropper as a 4th round candidate. I see him as a second year bloomer who can contribute year 1. He's already better than Dennis Houston, in my opinion.

I'm going on record to say I was probably wrong about where he is mentally. I think he's on the right path, and it should click this year.

But they have to find a way to keep Cropper on the team, or he will get poached. .

Pretty much. They brought in some serious contenders for camp.

OK after watching that I'm back to being nervous about or TEs.

Would be a nice boost to the team if he really steps up. Has the talent.

I think all of our younger WRs will benefit from Mikes approach. But I must admit I am specifically looking forward to seeing what he is able to do as I personally think he could be a faster and quicker Gallup.

I can't wait to see both of them in camp and especially in preseason.
