It's really not. Eagles D was 2nd last year. We were not in the same conversation.

Sure you can if they have a better record. NBA does it. Time for NFL to change their rules . It’s enough that an 8 or 9 win division winner in a poor division makes the playoffs but a 12 win team for example from a better division should get a higher seed.
I think you'd have a hard time convincing the owners to give up the home game playoff revenue. They only get 8 home games during the regular season whereas the NBA gets 41.

Lol, last year was a good year. If you think 13 wins with a playoff win isn't good, that's ridiculous.
If you think 13 wins and no Super Bowl victory is a good year is good then that's ridiculous. 2nd place only means you're the first loser. You must be a new fan or an"everyone get's a participation trophy" generation. This team used to be measured by Lombardi Trophies.

The 12 wins are an impressive number at first gaze, but when we drill into each game and see the inconsistency (even in a win over the Texans), the early exit from the playoffs was predictable.

Our Boys lacked consistency in putting games away when they should , and either dragged out wins against crap teams or just gave away wins like the Packers game

The playoff wins was against an 8-9 team that had no business being in the playoffs.

Yes, the wins when zero experience Rush came in we’re a Godsend, but the 2nd half of the season was more of limping toward the playoffs rather than kicking azz and taking names. The WR corp talent level was below average and it showed against good defenses

Which means you should actually know better.
You was a fan three years before I was born and I understand more than you.

Biggest difference is ownership and front office. Egirls defense, OL and running game is stronger along with playmaking ability of QB.
The Eagles defense is not better than the Cowboys. The Eagles are depending on rookies and second year players that are replacing pro bowlers at safety and defensive line. The Cowboys had injuries on the offensive line the Eagles did not last season. Pollard is better than any of the Eagles running back. The Cowboys and Eagles talent wise is neck and neck. The Eagles front office advantage is beaten by our coaching advantage with MM/Quinn.

I don’t care about last year or any other years. I will focus on this year.

And I think we closed the gap on both Philly and SF. We shall see on the field.

I don’t care what the mediots or some of our own ”disliker “ fans say.

I think Dak has a better year than last year, and that Hurts Mania will take a step back.

Cowboys were favored at home v SF two seasons ago. What’s your excuse for that?
Favored doesn't mean you're the better team. Which is why I avoided using that term in all but the most extreme cases. If you're a 10 point favorite you're most likely the better team. But a 3 point favorite? That often given to the home team so that gamblers money comes in even. Has nothing to do with who's better. The Cowboys were not better than the 49ers the last two years. Only homers were actually upset when we lost. It was coming.

A better example would be the 2016 team against Green Bay. It's debatable whether or not that team was better than us. In fact, it may have been the QB disparity that cost us the game there. But hey, Dak was a rookie.

You are acting like the disparity between the cowboys and 49ers was some massive gap the last two years …that’s just not true not matter what metrics you want to use

1 score difference and the 49ers have uncertainty at qb.

Many would disagree with you regarding the talent. Let’s look at it logically. If the Cowboys had equal or better talent, no one would be calling the Eagles FO superior.

The coach comparison is just a matter of opinion. I don’t remember a lot of teams clamoring for MM. Quinn is a solid D coach. The difference I see here is that the Eagles coaches are sought after by other teams, while the Cowboys coaches are used as JJ’s scapegoats

I didn’t need it to validate squat. You were the one who can’t tell a QB who is only good because of the system they run. Not me.
Vs the QB who isn't any good regardless of the system he's in?

It's excuse-makers like you that makes Jerruh feel confident no matter the number of decades of ineptitude he strings together...to just keep trottin the same garbage out there again. But hey, at least last year was a resounding success: WE WON A WILDCARD GAME! 10 YEAR DAK EXTENSION!

Saying that Hurts outplayed Mahomes is strange because QBs don’t play each other? Huh lol?
Another example of overall stats not telling the whole story. More often than not the game is decided on the one or two bad plays even if the total stats paint a different picture.

Just ask Neil O'Donnell.

We have to remember that for the younger members these really are the best of times. If you're 30 years old, back to back 12 win seasons is the best run in their memory.
