Not new to football but am new to some phraseology. So let me get this straight:

Poor situational football = not making plays and choking in crucial situations ?

Is this correct?

GO COWBOYS !

It's been poor situational football.,,,,,,,, That is coaches, HC, culture, attitude, desire. work ethics.

One thing I see every season with cowboys, is they beat some avg to below avg team, and look good doing it, and they
act like they just won the SB ! lol excessive celebrations, and then few weeks later run into a better and tougher team, and they
cant handle it..
.....and most importantly for the last two years a distinct inability to score TD's when trailing and the clock's ticking.

AC your not expecting him to answer you are you ??
It is pretty simple though, 91 werent not a SB team yet
98 99 were post SB team , they were no longer capable.

94 should have won, but Switzter was HC no proper leadership.
96 Dont remember, but probably not good enough at that point.
I think the Michael Irvin and Eric Williams rape accusations derailed them in the playoffs that year.

One reason the Cowboys haven’t been good in situational football has been the mostly bad HCs Jerry has hired in the last 28 years. (Mike McCarthy and Bill Parcells are exceptions)

Again with the exception of Parcells and Big Mac, look at these HCs since our last SB:
  • Chan Gailey
  • Dave Campo
  • Wade Phillips (great DC, bad HC)
  • Jason Garrett- not only bad, allowed to be HC for a DECADE! We made the playoffs 3 of 10 years.
The above list of HCs is bad. Those guys coached 20 seasons between them and won…wait for it…3 wild card playoff games. And the same GM who said “500 guys could coach this team” hired them.

Which player on offense stepped up in the playoff losses to the Niners?

Troy always elevated his play to the next level in the playoffs, we haven't seen that from Dak or others on offense.

Hmmmm.....Troy really has unlocked a mystery here:

"They just haven't played good enough when it matters (playoffs)"

Uhhhhh....OK. Well...way to keep it simple Troy. So...I guess we just need to play better. That's all. Why didn't anyone point that out before?

We may never lose again if they do this one simple thing.

I'm sure my memory is off but I seem to feel like they are in every game. Play pretty well against good teams and down to the poor teams they should blow out.

troy is still a media star, so he cant say what he really thinks, unless it is crafted so it doesnt directly call out any specific player coach, or GM out.
He has to speak in general terms.
No he doesn’t. Not about players. What planet are you from ?

Trenches.

'90s Super Bowl teams won in the trenches.

The 49ers kicked our butts in the trenches the last 2 years.
Very true, both OL and DL , 49ers had our behind. D improved last year but O sucked in the play off game , even when Pollard was not injured . Some WR stepped up instead of Gimpy Gallop it could have been a game and Dak chose unfortunate time to become a TO machine.
The 1st interception was all on Gallop he didnt hamper the CB or run a proper route ( come back route but he stopped)but I believe a better QB adjusts the ball ands shoot the ball where WR gets it or no one.
The second int was not necessary at all , that is situational foot ball, stupid KM going for a pass on 2nd and 2 and 49ers D were well aware of our WR QB tendencies and made a play.
