Rich Eisen making a lot of sense...

No threat to Dak anytime soon. Cooper Rush is the one who needs to look over his shoulder now. Jerry Jones is loving this hype deal for the cameras and the Cowboys coaching staff is building depth in the QBs room.

What say you?

How did Jerry create a stir? Lance comes in to replace Grier and hopefully improves to the 2 spot and maybe within a few years #1. There is zero stir here unless your Will Grier. The QB room definitely got better!

My team, and they are not fair ground for a garbage truck line, with lights on ...:starspin:

I like Eisen perspectives and the man.

Everyone wins here except Will Grier. And now the Cowboys are going to ask Will to QB the entire Raiders at the Cowboys preseason game before they give him the boot. It's basically Will's dress audition for a job somewhere else in the NFL.

Rich gets it. He knows Jerry very well. Let’s not panic either way. The kid is just a lottery ticket.

The internal quarterback room or locker room is not the context that Rich Eisen refers creating a stir. From the video:

"...but God bless Jerry Jones! Man, he just doesn't care. On the outset of the season, creating the stir. I am sure we're going to see sound bites about how much he loves Dak. Dak talking about pressure making diamonds and stuff like that..."

Eisen was referring to increased conversation, instigated by the trade of a former high first-round pick, to a team with a franchise quarterback. who had already attracted above average media and fan scrutiny. The topic focus of podcasts, sports talking head shows, internet forum chatter (like this forum for example lol), heck, barbershop chatter, shall substantiate Eisen's opinion.

Jerry being Jerry. He likes to be in the news. lol

I want to know if Lance trade affects Dak contract renewal talks? Could be a good thing.

Yes and the message will be very clear in the lockeroom...to Micah, CeeDee and the next big contract

The Ownership will never ever go ALL out and their greatest player of the past Era won a Super Bowl somewhere else.....Demarcus Ware.

The Math is Simple!!

The trade will provide that side benefit for his incessant need to speak, that is certain. However, he will not be the sole microphone target from the media. They will be gunning for Prescott and other players in the locker room, trying hard to land some tidy little morsal to chew on and exploit.

Ok so I guess this is the "bombshell" surprise additions BB was talking about? I'm wondering why we felt the need to give up a draft pick for a 3rd stringer at best this year when we have glaring needs elsewhere like, IDK maybe O-Line? Dak was a 4th rounder right? So this is not a throw away draft pick IMO. And I don't mean Dak is a throw away...the opposite

Smart move for all parties.

49ers get a pick back for Lance.

Lance goes somewhere with zero pressure to be a starter. Can sit for two years and become the starter.

Doesnt always have to be negatives
Dumb move for us…
