Will Deion become the next HC?

What a story, what a talent, and I'm sure he'd love to coach either Big D or San Fran. So why not get him after MM retires winning his SB?
No. Since when is Deion some kind of great coach?

Being a personality, which is really all he is, and recruiting college talent doesn’t mean anything when it comes to the straightforward hardcore grind that is required from an NFL Head Coach.

At *best* he could be a Switzer but Barry still had the HC chops and instincts to help win games.

It worked for Jimmy, at least for a bit.

There could be some parallels here.

Successful at the college level. Established as a motivator and a players coach. Comes to the NFL, to a young team. Uses his familiarity with the college players coming out in the draft. Circles the wagons and imprints his attitude on the team. Team responds and plays their butts off for him.

I remember Jimmy saying his style had a shelf life of about five years. After that, as the core aged, they get tired of that crap.
No salary cap back then, they all feared getting cut. That doesn't work nowadays

Prime runs his show. He's not going anywhere that he won't run it because he doesn't have to. That rules out working for Jerry.

This thread is trash -- it was ill-conceived from the start! Deion is coaching Colorado. Deal with it if you can! The next coach is unknown.

Deion is old school and a disciplinarian. He said he believes in coaching like Jimmy Johnson did......which is why he knows his coaching style would not work in the NFL because of so many entitled pro athletes who would refuse to listen to him or go cry to the team owners, NFLPA and the NFL.

Our next HC is AI Jerry, he's become sentient and demands a bigger role with the team. He'll take over as soon as he's done answering questions and spying on the cheerleaders in their dressing room with his x-ray vision.

The instant that the NFL institutes College style recruitment, the transfer portal and NIL then I'm down.
This.

Collegiate success is mostly a function of getting the best players, not coaching them. We really can't learn much about Sanders as a coach from two games in Colorado.

Dallas Cowboys Head Coach, "Neon" Deion?

Working for owner and GM Jerry Jones?

There wouldn't be enough microphones to go around.

Jerry would have zero control over Deion so not a chance

Thats what i thought a couple years ago. I was wrong then and you're wrong now. He's an excellent coach.

Honestly, I would have you were crazy 3-4 years ago but what I see now is the first coach that reminds me of Jimmy Johnson. Not a big x&o guy, but man his psychological impact on his players/team is off the chart.
Something interesting is he and Aikman butted heads as Cowboy teammates but guess who was one of the first big-time NFL to visit his Jackson State team.

I don't see him leaving Colorado after just one season but he has Jerry and the Cowboys written all over him........biggest stage for the best marketing sports team in the world.

Don't think Deion's dream is to coach in the NFL.... he loves coaching younguns, especially his sons. Players look up to him and he has an impact and influence on them. Pro football players are primarily prima donnas and feel like they hit the jackpot already once they are receiving that paper. And what's wrong with him using everything within the collegiate rules in acquiring the talent he is getting.
