We can as confident as we like but the Cowboys need to take this Jets team seriously. Classic trap game and one problem I’ve noticed with Cowboys teams since 2000 is they believe in their own hype because they are on the star. Can’t get arrogant and expect to run over the Jets here. This should be a team this Cowboys team beats handily. A loss here and it will be chalked up to attitude and lack of discipline. Destroy the Jets and show the nfl who the super contenders are!
 
I trust the personalities in the locker room to have the right mentality week after week more than any group I can remember.

It's a bit of human nature to get cocky or whatever, but I do think they have a really strong leadership corps of focused, intense guys that they haven't had in a long time.

We won’t be able to show the NFL we are super contenders until we beat some of the Elite teams like SF in week 5. But we can certainly place ourselves in position to take the next step. We have to take care of business these next 3 games which we will be heavily favored to do all based on current history.
 
Having flashbacks to that 27-3 win we had against the Jets awhile back that was probably the ugliest 27-3 win I've ever seen. We could well see a repeat on Sunday. No reason to open up the playbook or get super cute. Just line up and beat them then get ready for week 3.
 
I must say I’m much more excited after seeing the results in first week than I was heading into the season. I’m one that has to see to believe.

Who‘d of thought KC, Buff and Cinn would all be 0-1.

Thin line beware arrogance and swagger.
 
I think it’s too early in the season for the Cowboys to lay an egg, but eventually they will against a team they’re favored to beat that’s struggling. It happens at least once every season and I doubt this season will be any different. The team will be cruising along and everyone will be talking Super Bowl then out of nowhere they won’t show up for a game and embarrass themselves.

Why? All that running success and they scored 16 points lmao.

And that's ignoring the fact that they really only had one good run. Cook and Hall were a combined 22/75 other than the big gainer.

It's not the Cowboys who buy into their hype, it's the fans.

Win a couple games and look good in the process and all the fans are crowing and talking about the Super Bowl. Then lose a game and everyone says, "oh, they read their own press clippings" or "they looked past them" or "they ate the cheese" when in fact it was the fans who were overreacting all along.

The Jets are perfectly capable of beating the Cowboys. I don't think they'd win 5 out of 10 times, but 2 or 3 out of 10? Sure. And if they do, it won't be because the Cowboys "believe in their own hype." It'll be because a good football team had a good day against another good football team.

I absolutely would care. Without the fans the NFL does not exist. Plus, I don't believe one person is more important than any other. If I were famous and someone wanted my autograph I would insist on getting theirs in return because I would not see that person as beneath me or less important.
 
I think every player on that defense is looking to make the play of the game. They hype each other up.

Until they get soundly beat, I expect for them to feast.
