I'm still trying to understand how the Jets managed to score a touchdown.

Here we are, two games in, and Dallas is giving up an average of 5 points a game. That sounds like a stat from 1930.

Next up are the Cardinals, and I'd bet they cross the 50-yard-line twice, if at all. Probably only if we turn it over. Then New England, who will be the most impressive offense we've faced to date, which is disturbing and hilarilous at the same time.

So heading into 49ers week, how many points will the Cowboys have given up by then? I don't see the Cardinals managing more than 9 or 10 points. New England perhaps 14-17. Maybe.

It's 70-10 right now. Could it be in the neighborhood of 130-30 soon?

There just aren't many teams built to withstand the swarm of this defense, and virtually no quarterbacks that won't panic under the avalanche of it all.

But's fun, and funny, to watch.

I actually have caught myself laughing quite a bit as Parsons and the pass rush harass these qbs right into giving the ball to our secondary, OR being pummeled first.

It's been a glorious way to enjoy games, as opposed to years past of ripping my hair out.

This defense has been exciting to watch so far. If they can keep it up against the better teams in the league they will carry us to a ring

They’re the best kind of defense for the modern game. Lots of pass rushers, lots of versatile safeties, two high end outside corners and universally fast across the board. How well they stop the run is almost irrelevant because one, many teams will be so far behind that it won’t matter and two, rushing yards and YPC given up have virtually no statistical correlation with winning these days.

This is a defense built to stop the types of offenses that you face at the highest levels of competition in the playoffs.

yeah after those 8-8 seasons during the garrett regime (saints and broncos 2013 ouch) and 2020 collapse this is such a treat to watch

I am having a lot of fun, but I'm waiting until we play an actual QB to get excited.

Its hard not to get incredibly excited when you watch this team. They are hitting on all cylnders in all 3 phases at the moment especially the defense....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

OK Im excited.

You still gotta stop the run!

We are stopping the run. We need to keep stopping the run. Why do you think we resigned Hankins and drafted a 325lb DT in the 1st round?

In the sounds of the game Al Harris told Gilmore not to sweat it next time they throw that just take it from them.

It was part good throw to only where the wr could catch it and part bad angle from safety coming to help.

The best part was the D stripped all hope they had in first drive of 2nd half.

The defense is playing lights out right now, but I won’t be sold on it until we play some better teams and it’s still playing well in December and January.

The defense played lights out in the playoffs last year. Tampa Bay couldn’t do anything until they were down by 4 touchdowns, and we held the 49ers to their lowest output ever to that point under Brock Purdy.

I wouldn’t say we play the lights out against San Francisco defensively. We played well but not lights out. Our defense did drop off the second half of last season, especially our pass rush. We ranked as high as 8th overall defensively and dropped to 14th by the end of the season. Part of the problem is Parsons wears down as the season goes on, which caused our pass rush to decline. We’ll see if the added weight and strength helps him this season to sustain. Currently we ranked number one overall defensively.
