Injury silver lining

All right here we go. I love that’s how the drives start.

When MM won the SB with GB, they went through many injuries. I think they had over 10 guys on IR (don’t recall the exact number).

So— with all the bad news regarding injuries— MM has been able to navigate this kind of adversity before and get the job done.

Injuries suck when they happen obviously. But they also force the team to continuously overcome challenges together and work as a team in new and innovative ways.

Yup.
I thought this was a huge part of this coach's legacy/resume from all the McCarthy groupies on here.

The fact that he was able to win a trophy while suffering so many starter injuries and many to season ending IR. To include o-linemen, during a championship season.

Well, he's got his Clay Matthews DPOY guy in Micah carrying an even better, opportunistic, turnover machine defense than his championship year team defense was.

So, no excuses.
Go coach 'em up and do it again.

Can't make lemonade without lemons, there is nothing positive about losing Diggs.
Defense just got dealt a serious blow, we deal with it the best we can.

....James Jones just talked about this. He said, they had 18 guys injured. MM still found a way, to win the SB.

It's part of the game, sadly.

Aaron Rodgers, Shaq Thompson, Nick Chubb, now Trevon Diggs. The injury bug is hitting hard early and often across the NFL.

The only way this could be a silver lining is if the replacement is better. It's happened, but not this time.

Noah Igbinoghene was a former 1st round pick if I'm not mistaken. I'm excited for guys like him, Bland, Lewis and company. I'm still bummed out today but I think we'll be alright by Sunday afternoon. Injuries are the worst thing about football but the game waits for no one. I think everyone raises their game to make up for Diggs and sum of our parts make us stronger. Call me glass half full.

Disagree. The replacement doesn't necessarily have to be "better." We have to play better as a unit and strategize differently.

Silver lining is it happened so early in the season that we have 5 weeks to analyze the defense without him and make a trade if need be as opposed to last year, signing Jags off the street and playing Nashon Wright

There's still hope as long as Micah remains healthy and they get after the opposing QB.

MM knows how to win with injuries to key players. Unlike JG, who couldn't win a game whenever Sean Lee was out due to injuries.

I don't think there is any silver lining in losing a great defensive player. However, the pass rush is strong and with their db depth they should still be ok.
