I love Tyron. He was a dominant machine here for years. One of the best LTs in football. But his injuries make him unreliable. It's almost a given that he's going to spend time on the bench during the season now. And today, we find out he's out a 2nd game and honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if he's out a few more.

Cowboys need to move past him as painful as that is. If the plan is to move Tyler to LT, then great. Go find a legit LG this offseason. Draft a stud.

But counting on Tyron at this point is just fools gold. Our GM is a moron if he convinces himself next season will be different.

The plan my guess is to move Tyler Smith to LT permanently when HOFer Tyron Smith calls it quits or is cap cut.

- The LG will be up for grabs, and i don't think currently have that future starter currently on the roster.

- Also I'm willing to bet that new LG will come from the NFL draft than what it will be per FA.

this exactly right here is why myself and some were questioning the draft early. Especially round 2. But it done and they are here and were gonna need to figure a way to be succesful with this beat up line. Im thinking we are gonna see plenty of this all year and not just from Tyron

Or move Tyler to LT and insert Bass into LG! Not investing a high pick on a LG unless they have the skillset to move to tackle!
Tyler was drafted to play LT but we continue to make the same mistakes. Tyron is not durable enough to be relied on.

Richards? Tyler Smith?

Move Tyler to LT and draft a high guard, much easier to find. Then spend the next two picks on another offensive lineman and a linebacker.
There's like 9 first-round tackles next year. It's probably the easiest year ever to find a LT.

Poor guard play is more crippling than poor tackle play in today's NFL. If you have a guy who can be dominant there, keep him there.

I know no one want to here this, but most of the best tackles are missing games. Williams, Tunsil, Bakhtiari, Lane Johnson, Stanley, etc..

We act like Tyron is some outlier, but it's not truly the case.

They did the same thing to the OL that they did last year to the WR and are expecting different results. Obvious hole with injury prone Tyron, not properly addressed. Even if Tyler moves out there, there is still a hole on the OL that they missed and it's already hurting our chances.

I don’t care if Tyron is an outlier, point is: he’s missing games and it negatively impacts DALLAS. Time to find a replacement on the OL.
