Dak Prescott has been among the best in the league at protecting the football Weeks 1-4

CJ Stroud has 0 (Zero) Int's so far. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Dak had a huge brain fart on that pass. Need just a little more air under it. But then, would have have allowed the defenders enough time to still make a play.
This is where we miss a big target as an end zone threat. I been saying that for years. I was hoping Fehoko showed enough to be that player.

This was where Hopkins would have been a good signing.

Besides last year, Dak has always been good protecting the football. Had a game ending pick last week, but who thought we were winning that game anyway? The entire team screwed the pooch.

Not all picks are the QBs fault, similar to Mac Jones pick 6, his WR was absolutely awful. That wasn't on him.

the wideout definitely didn't help matters, but yes... it was definitely on Mac as well lol.

Guess the turnover narrative was stupid all along
There's always an overreaction either way because there are variables that do not get taken into consideration. Of course, a turnover can just be a bad pass, but it also can be a bad route, a dropped or juggled ball, a great play by a defender, pressure getting to the quarterback or hitting him to force an off throw, etc. The lack of a turnover also is the product of multiple things. For example, Sauce Gardner dropped a pick-six in the Jets game, and there are a couple of other passes, I believe, that could have been intercepted so far. If they had been, it changes the narrative.

Would you judge a QB following three blow out wins over teams with a collective 3-9 record after playing 4 games where the defense dominated the opposition and created multiple turnovers or would you wait for a larger sample size against good teams with winning records where he will likely have to actually take some risks with his throws?

That's not a cheap shot or hating just a reality check. The Cowboys would have beaten the Giants, Jets and Patriots with a practice squad QB like Cooper Rush at QB.

Let's see how Prescott gets on over the next 4 games to provide a balanced assessment from a decent sample size of 8 games against varying opposition not just bad teams that will not make the play offs.

this is fair, but it's also not a judgement. it's a statement about him not turning the ball over frequently thus far.

No because Dak has been throwing the ball a lot as well.

I think he struggles to see defenses and he drops back, stops and just throws to the receiver he thinks should be open. I know this is probably oversimplifying but he seems very robotic back there. I like the guy and understand we are stuck with him but he needs some work.

If we get up again like we did this last weekend they need to pull him sooner and get Rush and Lance some snaps.

That’s what happens when you have an offense that consists of short passes that eat up the clock. He’s not throwing risky bombs down the field like these other QBs are. He should be protecting the football if he’s not going to be playing high risk high reward (not that he’s capable of doing that properly anyways).
