Completely agree. I'm sure we sound like the "Get off my lawn" angry older people but many posters here lack context to the franchise and its history. We were spoiled by great success, by great teams with great players for a long time. However, Jerry no longer deserves my fandom - at least the fanatic I was for most of my life.
I believe we have a fatal flaw in our culture and organization that will prevent us from ever getting deep into the playoffs because of Jerry. Whether it's his obsessive need for attention, whether it's the players knowing he's calling all the shots and don't respect the coaches, or whether it was giving Dak a contract that he didn't have to that we will pay the price for that for a few more years.
Something isn't everything but everything is something and we are the sum of our parts. This team under any other management, even with the same coaches, is an absolute Super Bowl contender - but not with the Cowboys under Jerry Jones. The flaw will doom us, probably in January and probably with a crucial play or mistake - as it has for 28 years.
I used to hate fans like you and me. Consistently negative and dismissive of regular season success, not buying into a QB who is a tremendous human being but is an average QB, and telling other fans I told you so at the end of another fruitless season.
I've turned into the very person I hate.
