Pretty good breakdown. Good numbers that just articulate why SF is just a poor matchup for what Dallas likes to do.

Make Purdy play from behind and keep him in 3rd and longs and we win easy.

If they jump out ahead and get their run game going we will lose.

One big play early in the game that leads to some points could prove decisive. Strip sack, pick six, punt return, something.

This fan wants to set up the 49's from the start. First thing, kick off to start the game and get the real game started with the whistle. Stop their running game coming out of the gate with no more than a total of 20 yards total. Let a hungry secondary go all out up top. Single coverage all out. Allow their pressure and reduced running yardage do your talking.

Sometimes a team just has challenge another team and put it to them.

I'll explain with an example. While stationed at Fort Knox, Ky...my son and I were on a Men's Church League Softball Team. We were down 2 runs and late in the game. The bases were loaded and two outs, when my Son, John, came to bat. He fouled the first pitch and the left fielder started to move in a little. Well, John motioned for him to come on up. He did, about five steps. The next pitch John drove it to the left field fence and we won by a single run.

Challenge them, Cowboys, and then beat them expecting an easier advantage!!

surprisingly, to some, I have to say that it would be quarterback. I base that solely on real in game experience. Im aware of history but if our 40 million Qb can’t significantly outplay a 13 game Qb earning only 900k a year. Dak HAS to be the difference maker


why does the salary matter?…..because of the ability to sign 2-3 solid players more than the team paying 40 million ( on a average).

A tip of the cap to Purdy. Based on what I have watched this year, he does a nice job of seeing how the receiver & defender are positioned. When appropriate, he throws the back shoulder to beat good coverage. Gives his player the opportunity to see what's happening & begin adjusting. Really nice for a guy with less than a dozen starts entering the year.

That guy utilizes his greatest assets. the first is between the ears as the the game is simple for him and he processes defenses like a veteran and the second thing is that he an EXPERIENCED “rookie“ in that the dude has played a TON of games through HS and college. Compare his playing time in total to a guy like Trey Lance.

Jets play mainly zone and Dak was 31 out of 38 (81.6%) for 255 yards and 2 TDs and 0 INTs. I think this guy using old data from KM's offense

He was also pretty much perfect against the Eagles' zone last year.

San Francisco is the reason Kellen Moore is not here anymore. His variant of Coryell—all those 5 and 7 step drops and slow developing pass plays—played into SF’s strengths. Anxious to see how MM’s version of the WCO plays out in this game.

Prescott was reading more top to bottom, which caused problems with check-downs, something the team has been focused on specifically this year, according to Schottenheimer. This is a good thing mostly, since it means that Prescott knows where to get the ball when trouble arrives. He was flicking it pretty good against the Jets...and he had to do this given their d-line and issues along the Dallas o-line. I think Dallas will have the answer for zone coverage this time around. The running backs should be able to run underneath if Prescott leads them well. I think SF likes to get deep with their coverages (vision defense). As long as Pollard doesn't go out with injury...that "alone" means Prescott will have more options than last time. Adding in a suddenly resurgent Gallup, along with Cooks and Tolbert should give Prescott more potent and reliable options (other than Lamb) than last years playoff game. The KEY issue will be protection up front. Dallas will also need to run the ball even if it isn't particularly effective early.
