Does winning against Seattle even matter?

Or is it the losing? Because the way I figure it, Seattle is 6-5. If we win then they become 6-6 and then they are no longer a winning team. We won but its not a winning team so it doesn't matter.

OTOH, it they lose then Seattle is a winning 7-5 team and we cannot beat winning teams.

FWIW, I find the whole 'winning teams' argument to be asinine but I also figure that if people want to be wagged by ESPN then let them.

Nonetheless, the Cowboys narrative seems to have them in a no win situation from most fans perspective.

I’m sure winning is better than losing.

Well, I like wins no matter who they are against.
Of course, wins against winning teams are sweeter.

This crap came up few years ago. I pointed out then that when we beat the Desadskins, they had a winning record in both games but ended the season with a losing record.
So, do the two games count as beating a team with a winning record or not? It's a really stupid way to gauge how good or bad a team is playing.

I also love wins against the deadskins and shegals.
Got a lot of bad blood their.

It's not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game.
There is a glimmer of hope that this year might be different because of the way Dak battled against the Eagles- albeit in a loss. All anyone ever asked from Dak was that he didn't choke against teams that were top tier. He actually seemed to have finally have grasped what he was supposed to be accomplishing vs the Eagles.
It's in no way vindication for the past seven years, but if he can show that he FINALLY can be the quarterback that he's being paid to be, the Cowboys have hope. If not, it was simply a lucky day and he needs to be gone.

Don't tempt some on this board!
:muttley:
I agree, let’s not tempt some. But that’s not the overall question. The question is did Philly just beat a Super Bowl contender or an average team. Because now the Bills are .500. So did they beat a powerhouse or a .500 team? Cuz I guarantee everyone if we just barely beat a .500 team, at home, in OT, with help from the refs, with our QB throwing a interception, and allowing 34 points, this board would be going nuts with narratives devaluing the W.

If the Eagles beat a team then CZ will claim the team is not very good. BUT, beating the Washington Commanders with an up and coming quarterback is a quality win. Big time quality win. Don’t let anyone tell you different.

The way I see it...........just keep kicking a____. At some point, WE WILL break that cycle and when we do, look out (lol). They have been a different team since the 49er loss and I hate to say it, but that started with MM and Dak.

Well, if the Niners whip the Eagles, everyone hopes the Eagles will not become similarly better. That would really be discouraging.

To be honest, the outcome of that game means very little to us coz we are going to have to play one or both to get where we wanna go during the playoffs.

That is true. Niners are loaded. The only teams that have a realistic chance of beating them in a playoff game are Philadelphia and Dallas. The Ravens and Niners seem to be peaking at precisely the right time.
