Does winning against Seattle even matter?

That is true. Niners are loaded. The only teams that have a realistic chance of beating them in a playoff game are Philadelphia and Dallas. The Ravens and Niners seem to be peaking at precisely the right time.
I think you can also us to the list......but no doubt in my mind, that health is going to be the key going into the playoffs. In other words, the 2-4 top teams that can avoid injuries to keep players will likely be the ones standing at the end. This isn't some theory of mind, it's proven over the years.

If the Eagles beat a team then CZ will claim the team is not very good. BUT, beating the Washington Commanders with an up and coming quarterback is a quality win. Big time quality win. Don’t let anyone tell you different.
It's the opposite I find. Most here find ways to hate on the team and it's players more than root for them. The pessimism is draining. I have to avoid the board after loses cause people come out of the woodworks like they are celebrating just to prove they've been "right".

It matters if want to do anything in the playoffs. But the division is a wrap. The Philadelphia refs are tough to beat.

Some guys get caught up on winning the division, but I'm more concerned with beating good teams and building confidence for the Playoffs.

Absolutely you want to win all the December/January games.

You guys are slacking!
Where's the "You play to win the game!" meme/gif?
Should have been page 1 post #2.

So did the Eagles beat a winning team yesterday since the Bills are now 6-6....that narrative is so old and seems to only apply to the Cowboys. They just need to keep winning, which is always better.

not assanine in 2023, sometimes yes, not 2023, we play very good teams, we lose, and that needs to change. You are parsing a word on focusing too much on the specific meaning for one specific word. You know we beat up bad teams and lose to good, you know it

Or is it the losing? Because the way I figure it, Seattle is 6-5. If we win then they become 6-6 and then they are no longer a winning team. We won but its not a winning team so it doesn't matter.

OTOH, it they lose then Seattle is a winning 7-5 team and we cannot beat winning teams.

FWIW, I find the whole 'winning teams' argument to be asinine but I also figure that if people want to be wagged by ESPN then let them.

Nonetheless, the Cowboys narrative seems to have them in a no win situation from most fans perspective.
Winning always matters and is always important. Even if you have a bunch of scrubs on your schedule you need to beat them.

I doubt it. If there was another team that consistently was billed as SB contenders and then went out and consistently lost against teams with winning records or other playoff contenders you would hear the same thing. You can't be angry about what is being stated about the cowboys because everything being stated is factually true. The Cowboys are every year picked as a SB contender. They have had a team that posts a winning record and over the last few seasons beat up weaker teams. If we can agree to that then it is also fair to state that the Cowboys struggle against teams with winning records. This year they have played the 49-ers and Eagles and they lost both those games. Now here comes the Seahawks. I hope they win but their track record against these teams isn't that great, so they could very well lose that game and if that does happen - what will you say? Will you claim that the media is biased and hate the Cowboys? Winning is the only real antidote here and until they figure out how to consistently beat or even be competitive against the elite teams the narrative will continue.

Sure wins and losses matter and it has possible tie breaker implications.
But the question is, tie breaker implications with who? We aren’t winning the division, so we aren’t going to have or need any tie breaker advantages that I can think of.
