I can't deny any longer. Dak has been playing at an elite level since after the 49ers game. There was a point in the Seattle game where a pick or bad 3 & out would have likely lead to a loss, but he kept the offense going and carried the defense until they figured it out and stopped those 4th downs. You can definitely win a SB with this level of play.

I’m switching to ‘Yes’ this week. If Dallas doesn’t make to their sixth Lombardi Trophy this season - it very likely WON’T have anything to do with the play of one Rayne Dakota Prescott. Dak is pretty much doing EVERYTHING you would want from the QB position. Leadership, pocket awareness, reading the defense - he appears to me to be mentally about where Romo was when Tony’s physical tools began to fail him. But… without the physical dropoff.

From here out - Dak just needs to get positive contributions from other units within the team.

C’mon Dan Quinn, secondary, running game, linebackers… Put it together and get the Cowboys back to SERIOUS contention.

I’m still skeptical. Dak has had runs like this before. He has to do it in January to change my mind.
He's never had a run like this. Seahawks are a real team. We should have won against Philly, but things that are out of the QBs hands went wrong. I've been very wary of believing in him, and I'm still not 100% positive he won't regress, but I'm about 85% after the last 6 games. He's showing a command of the offense I don't think he's ever had, reading defenses and adjusting to them, and he's using his feet when necessary. He's also been very accurate with his throws, and leading the receivers. He's just doing everything better than ever, even better than the other times we thought it'd clicked.

I will be posting polls like this after big wins an big losses to gauge how everyone is feeling about various aspects of the team.

As always, I do not provide "easy out" options in CZ Polls because that defeats the purpose of the polls.

Not every poll is for everyone so if you do not like the options, do not vote and instead post your opinions as a reply.

As usual, this poll will be closed before the next game!
As of right now, I voted yes. He seems determined to learn from his past mistakes on the field or capable of what he can do, and he is now learning, once again, to use them upright stilts of his. So far, he is running uphill, north and south (on the field), and that is good.

However, I'm not going to go blowing smoke up his butt just yet, I'm gonna go grab me a guitar, smoke me some stuff that would make even you root for our QB.

Cowboys on three...

1...2...3...COWBOYS.

How convenient is the timing for the poll to return..... It mysteriously disappeared while Dak was beating up on bad teams, but reappears the first time he barely beats a team with a winning record for the entire season. What are the chances?

Anyway, this poll needs to be shelved until after the season ends. Too many people are kissing Dak's butt right now but they will be gone after he gets his butt handed to him again by SF or Philthy in the playoffs.

I just do not know what to say. Dak is on fire right now.
My beef with him is he is snakebitten and canna take us to the next level, and that means beating the Egirls or 49ers.
Let's discuss Dakw hen he leads the Cowboys to beating top- tier teams.

You’re not gonna get it until you get it. Championships are won , by teams not individuals.
QB is the most important position.
He is the de facto leader of the team.
He calls plays, changes up cadence, makes audibles and checks down or follows the route. When his team wins, the QB is hailed and pilloried if his team loses.
You with the there is no I in TEAM crowd conveniently underestimate the QB's hand.

i was happy with Dak when it was fllipped. When most werent happy.

The band wagon fans and recent fandom is pathetic. Now that he's playing up to his potential, and the team is winning, the board is behind Dak. mostly

Look tho... even a few stragglers left over on the unhappy side.

When do people stop and realize the problem is themselves, not Dak.
Just because people (myself included) weren't happy with Dak doesn't mean we weren't behind him. I'd say it's likely that most of us were hoping to see him become the QB he's been lately. From what I've read on these boards, most people just wanted him to reach his potential, rather than have a game or two to tease us, then sink back down to a disappointing level of play.

I would be willing to bet a very large amount of money that if Mahomes was the QB for Dallas they're 12-0 right now. And if Dak played for KC? Probably 6-5 or 5-6.

Frankly, I'm confused by the poll.
If I say no, my name is immediately put into a basket to be called a
Dak hater by those who voted yes.
Nobody on that side wants to hear the simple reasoning for a no vote.
My reasoning is that he needs to play well against SF. Something he
hasn't done in three consecutive attempts. He needs to play well in a
divisional playoff game. I'm not even saying he needs to win.

If the poll were truly a weekly poll, it would say so but instead it is
omitted and replaced with a "no easy out" mantra that makes little sense.
Add "...this week" to the end of the poll question and you'll get a true
representation of who really "hates" Dak (which is what people use it for).

He's playing great right now and answered the call against a Seattle
team that had their backs to the wall. So far, he's 1-0 in this 5 week
gauntlet in the schedule.

Actually, didn't he play well again SF back in the playoffs, when nobody else on the team except one player - Sean Lee - did? If the rest of the team didn't crap the bed, we would have advanced, or am I thinking of a different game? I admit, my memory isn't what it used to be

I think you are mistaken. Lee retired in 2020.
