Amazing how many have jumped on the Dak bandwagon the last few weeks. After the 49ers debacle more than 90% of the fan base wasn’t happy with him. His next bad game and the poll will be back under 50%. These polls show just how much fans live in the moment.
Dak did have an excellent game. I haven't changed my position, yet, though he is heading in the right direction on what you want to see. The thing is, even some of his biggest critics thought that Dak would win this game anyway, judging by how people voted on the poll on who would win this game. The team didn't have their best game against the Sea Hags and Dak did help save the day along with Parson's ending the last chance the hags had. It just seems kind of reactionary to jump ships based on a game we were supposed to win anyway and many expected Dak to look good to begin with. It does look like he has gotten better in the pocket, but I want to see how he does against the Eagles and maybe the playoffs before changing my opinion. I've already flipped flopped on Dak too many times. Heck, back in 2016 I thought he would be the next Ben Roethlisberger but obviously he never lived up to that. Good quarterback, but worth the extension?

True, objective discussion has left the building because half the people cant really carry a debatable argument because of emotion as it leaves no room for facts...the other half is not interested in any debate that doesnt clearly give them satisfaction on thier emotinal point of view....
Unfortunately, this isn't the kind of forum that is open to people discussing facts or opinions. People share their opinions and they get accused of having agendas and labeled. I don't visit other sports forums anymore, but there used to be some where people were a lot more open minded and respected others opinions.

He's never had a run like this. Seahawks are a real team. We should have won against Philly, but things that are out of the QBs hands went wrong. I've been very wary of believing in him, and I'm still not 100% positive he won't regress, but I'm about 85% after the last 6 games. He's showing a command of the offense I don't think he's ever had, reading defenses and adjusting to them, and he's using his feet when necessary. He's also been very accurate with his throws, and leading the receivers. He's just doing everything better than ever, even better than the other times we thought it'd clicked.
But, but. No winning record.

Yeah, because Dak beat them.

32 said no. There are more anti-Cowboys fans here than I thought.
Dak =/= Cowboys. He IS a Cowboy, he is not THE Cowboys. Many people have good reason to still doubt Dak. He earned that doubt with 2 seasons of playoff chokes in a row. Why is it anti-Cowboys to be wary of him crumbling in high pressure situations? Has he turned a corner and will this year be different? I sure hope so! I want to be wrong about him, but he lost my confidence in the last playoff game vs SF. He further cemented it in the SF regular season game this year.

Said I was sticking with No unless he can prove he won't curl up and crap his pants in the playoffs again, and that's where I'm still at. He has been playing at an MVP level over the last several weeks which is great, even if it has been against the weaker defenses in the league, so cautiously optimistic, but still no.

Which one player lost the SB for the Eagles last year?
Don't know; I can't stand the Eagles.
But Dak has been the one player who has repeatedly cost the Cowboys.
This year might be different, but the last seven years still happened.

That's a tad unfair. While I lost faith in Dak, he can't be blamed for the 2016 playoffs loss. He played very well, especially for a rookie. The season before last, practically the entire team choked against SF...it wasn't just Dak. Last playoff loss, Dak was the primary cause of the loss (but not the entire reason, just most). Two years in a row of choking to the 49ers. I think he'll choke again this year, but I very much hope to be eating crow about that.

There is a difference this year. The team overall seems more focused these past several games. Dak seems more focused. I really hope they can keep that focus and drive in the playoffs.

As of right now, I voted yes. He seems determined to learn from his past mistakes on the field or capable of what he can do, and he is now learning, once again, to use them upright stilts of his. So far, he is running uphill, north and south (on the field), and that is good.

However, I'm not going to go blowing smoke up his butt just yet, I'm gonna go grab me a guitar, smoke me some stuff that would make even you root for our QB.

Cowboys on three...

1...2...3...COWBOYS.
He is learning and growing.

I’m not happy with Dak as our quarterback until he wins a Super Bowl. How’s that for intestinal fortitude. What is your bizarre obsession with Dak? I’m not happy with anyone on this team until they win a Super Bowl. So put Martin, Parsons, CD, etc all in the same category. This team has played well in the regular season and folded/choked in the playoffs. As a fan I want championships, not great regular season stats. As a Cowboys fan I care about the whole team. I don’t have an unhealthy fixation on Dak.

So long answer short, no I’m not happy with Dak(or anyone else on the Cowboys team) until they do something in the playoffs.
That’s dumb and sad at the same time.

I'll be happy when this QB, with this lineup of stars, gets to the NFC Championship Game.

Dak’s playing at a very high level right now. His production speaks for itself.

He is playing the position as well as any of the top QBs this year— and is actually outperforming many of the guys who he is routinely graded against (Mahomes, Allen, Hurts, Jackson etc…)

9-3 in Dec is not “hollow” in terms of record or production. Parcells operated with the “you are what you are at Thanksgiving” principle— so nothing Dallas or Dak has done should be taken away from them. He is playing the best ball of his career.

Having said that— none of this resolves the biggest issue I have had with Dak over the years: his failure to deliver in big moments in the playoffs. It is looking likely like we will be a WC team and will have to beat Philly and SF on the road. No small task.

I can see Dak playing MVP caliber ball in the regular season and easily losing at the divisional round or NFCCG.

I hope this is the year he gets us over the hump, but the AZ loss was awful, as was the SF debacle, and I don’t have confidence that the outcome will be different. Dak’s track record of inconsistency against good teams creates doubt that can only be done away with by winning big games in the playoffs.

He has a great opportunity to change the narrative— I will be rooting for him to seize the moment, and for the team to “seize everything “ lol

It’s not just this place it’s the internet and our current culture

I’ve been a part of this place since 06 and other Dallas forums and this kind of rhetoric and disagreements have always taken place

I also think we have a vocal minority on both sides of debate
