On a recent episode of the Dan Lebatard Show, Jay Glazer revealed whom he believed to be the most meddlesome owners in the NFL.

3. Woody Johnson (Jets)

2. Jimmy Haslem (Browns)

1. David Tepper (Panthers)

Most of us believe that Jerry Jones is at least somewhat meddlesome. Perhaps it could be a lot worse. Glazer also stated that it was clearly Dan Snyder at #1 when he was in the league and scoffed at the idea of Jerry Jones being in the top 3.

How many of those owners are the GM and have family members as the top company officials?

Each of those teams have 2 family members at the top in executive roles. Dallas has 4 and of course Jerry doubles as GM.

It's been like this for so long people forget now.

This doesn't make sense. Jerry named himself GM and has been for decades. How can an owner possibly be any more meddlesome than that?

Jerry is not meddlesome. Not like many want to say or believe.
He is just more interviewed and the media loves his stupid responses. Then fans run with them as to being meddlesome.

NO coach or player has ever came out to say Jerry meddles. Everyone says the had a great working relationship.
Too bad our fans can't accept that.

Jerry is the GM. Aside from the occasional medical diagnosis, he does what GMs do. It’s not that he’s meddlesome. He just hasn’t been a particular good GM over the past twenty years.
A lot of people will tell you it goes beyond that. When players can go over their coaches head to the GM it's meddlesome. I usually don't comment one way or the other because I don't know what I don't know. Jerry has changed his philosophy and that could Include meddling.

When we are winning no one seems to care regardless.

Some people really can't keep up for 28 years...fact.

Seriously?? You think Jerry is making medical diagnoses?

All Jerry does is express hope, or repeat what he's been told by doctors - just like any other GM.

Being the GM means anything you can call meddlesome can be redirected to either a GM duty or the GM being meddlesome. With that legal argument Jerry can justifiably call himself an absentee owner if he wants

It's not as if Jerry has remained static in his role as GM. He has learned over time, and become better. Jerry is clearly in the top half of NFL GMs - as a GM.
Seeds planted provide later yields. Jerry has learned through much struggling that there also is no right way to do the wrong thing.
