Eagles Head of Security Banned From Field Sunday Night

He was poaching on Coach Mac's buffet dibs.

For a guy who is supposed to be a security expert, he should never have allowed himself to be in the position he was last Sunday. He is an escort for the coaching staff, not a sideline enforcer. It's no surprise the NFL has taken this action and it could lead to the NFL declaring team security personnel not being allowed on the sideline during the game.

I doubt they're worried for the players or anyone else. I think it's just part of his disciplinary action. But it certainly didn't need to be declared publicly.
It's the NFL, it makes news. Any news is good news. They are doing something!

Question is why the "head of security" for a football team needs to be at an away game anyways when you think about it.

Perhaps you never know who is carrying knives and guns on the sideline lmao

That's kind of stupid. No one, no player is worried about that guy.
Well we know that the league office is worried about it because of their action. I don't see how you can make such a blanket statement. At least the 49ers would likely take issue if no one else.

This is the dumb quetion... What is the difference between the teams "head of security" vs cops on the field? Does the teams head of security have arresting powers? I honestly don't think so.

I think he's supposed to protect the HC.

I'm sure they have a code of conduct...that he likely violated.

Doesnt look good for the guy.

People keep saying the security guy was punched. I think the player was pointing for him to get off the field. It was just hard to miss his huge head.

What would the 49ers take issue with? They only issue they have was being penalized and having their player ejected and fined. If I'm Greenlaw, and I could do it over again, the second that guy put his hands on me I'm pushing him back so that fatboy is on his back. Especially if I'm going to be ejected and fined.

The reason he didn't do it was because fatboy didn't merit such punishment. But in hindsight......

Maybe he's in charge of making sure nobody makes Sirianni cry.
