Anyone Else Not Watching Sunday's Game Because of Christmas Eve?

I’ll miss some of it as the wife and I will be cooking dinner and eating with her dad and step mom.

But if anything it’ll give us all something to do besides sitting around and talking. So it’s a win.

Usually posted a few hours after the game.

After uninterrupted family Christmas activities, Mass, etc. I've got an appointment with 3 ghosts. I'll run the replay the next afternoon in the kitchen whilst cooking a British boxing day Christmas dinner of ribeye roast, Yorkshire puddings, and roast potatoes with a lovely red wine of choice.

How many of you are not watching the game this Sunday at 4est due to xmas eve plans? I know with my family, we will go to early mass and then out to dinner so I will absolutely miss all of it. I have spectrum streaming so can't even record to watch and when we get home from dinner have magic family time with the 3,7,9 year olds....needless to say, I am going to have to bypass this week due to scheduling.

Hopefully they get the win but curious how many of you are in the same predicament I am in and what you are doing to be able to watch later without knowing how it unfolded?

(PS this thread is not about not watching bc I don't want to or bc trying to make some dumb statement, so lets not make it about that please)
3,7,and 9 year olds.....that's what it's all about. I remember those Christmas days. Lots of fun.

I too must still do the family Mass and we're hosting my family that evening.

I'm recording the game but I probably won't watch it until it's hours later.

I will be watching. Even when I was married and our son was younger. Plans would have been made around the ball game.
Just like now, if my son and his family comes over and a game is on. They know where to find me.
My kids do this with me as well during football season. Before they would plan celebrations, they would call and ask "when do the Cowboys play?" I trained them well. LOL

It's going to be tough at that time slot for all of us and our families.

I missed last week's game to watch my daughter star in "The Nutcracker" for the Oakland Ballet Company. Christmas comes every year, the Cowboys play 20 times a year.. my daughter's first principal role as a professional will only happen once. I would have skipped the Super Bowl for that. In terms of recording though.. I strongly suggest you get yourself an Amazon Firestick and an HDMI capture stick, plug them both into your computer and record the game there. Then at least you can go watch it a little later. Oh and my daughter was absolutely amazing in her performance by the way.. I damn near cried!!
That's awesome, congratulations.

I didn't even miss the pre-season game against the Cardinals in 2018, as I had it playing in the hospital room as my son was being born.

I’ll be out enjoying some other activities during the game, but will record it, avoid spoilers, and watch it (fast forwarding through the BS) later that evening when time permits.

Our company is coming Christmas day so I am free to watch although I will be cooking and stuff.

It's probably 50/50 for me. We have stuff to do as well with family.

I will miss most of it but will record. Headed out to our favorite Italian restaurant in Sarasota with 2 others couples for 6pm dinner. Planning on having a couple of Martinis on the rocks and Linguini Pescatore. Nice dark atmosphere and a piano player so will be a great night. Christmas Day will be at my house for 13 of us. Lasagne and two Christmas Goose are on the menu! Freaking 9lb Goose cost me $120 each this year But hey it’s a once a year celebration so it’s all good.

Haven’t missed a game since 12/30/90, and I won’t miss this one, but for the first time ever, it will not have my full attention.

I’m hosting, and cooking, and want to spend time with the little ones. They aren’t going to be this age ever again.

It’ll be on in real time, but I’ll miss plays. No doubt.

It’s a double smack in the face since this was the one game I wanted to attend this season….until the schedule came out.

I can’t do something like record it, stay off the phone and watch it later. Never have and just can’t do it while I know it’s going on. I’ll just have to make the best of it.

More than likely I will not be able to watch it live due to all the hustle and bustle going on. I hope to be able to watch it later that evening. Most Sundays I have my grandson anyway so I usually wait until things have quieted down before putting it on. I like it better that way so I can fast forward through all the commercials.
